Universal Love RIP Russell Ebert. The greatest man!

Russell has been a part of football since I remember. This loss hurts.

I remember in the days of Footy Park watching us play AFL games in the western stand and he would occasionally be behind us. Super competitive, even as a supporter, but always cooled down at the breaks and was up for a chat when time permitted.

He was a god among us.

Condolences to the Ebert family.

.
Grief hitting me like a truck right now.

Thank you for being the best footballer I remember and one of the most humble and wonderful people.
A true role model.

This sucks. The greatest of all time. Will always remember his clinic at Elizabeth oval. First time ive ever cried over an ex footballer/celebrity passing away. R.I.P Russell.

Another memory I have of Russell was being shown around the club by a board member around 2005/6 and seeing his face pop up from a cubicle. I must have visibly reacted because he just smiled at me and said "gidday" as we walked past.

I can see Ollie being a bit like Russell.
