That just goes to show you, that Ports coaches know what they are doing, and keyboard warriors don't.

You have to be no older than 20 yr on the 1st Jan, Bonner turned 21 this month.

JGTI had 13 tackles and 101 pressure acts, on track for the most tackles in AFL history for someone’s first 10 games.

To put that in perspective, the next best pressure acts on that night was Trent Cotchin with 52. The kid is a machine.

Its Bonners third season. It’s a Rising Star award, not best first year player. I doubt Riley will win it anyway. You don’t win the rising star getting cheap possessions in the back half. Oh, wait.....

Here are the rules for Rising Star..
Rising Star nomination is given to a standout young player who performed well during that particular round. To be eligible to be nominated for the award, a player must be younger than 21 years of age on 1 January of the award year and have played 10 or fewer senior games before the beginning of the season.
