What are people's thoughts on who will get the nomination this week?

Sam Butler & Hayden Skipworth are the only one's I can think of who'll be in with a chance

Next week........

David Hale will be a better footballer than every bloke nominated this year, except Jared Rivers.

David Hale this week, busted finger, busted face and all.

For this round alone, Skipworth is the standout, statswise.
15k, 5hb, 8m, 2 tackles, 3 goals.

Hadley may get if for his past month's worth of good games, but was down a bit this week.
6k, 4hb, 1m, but 8 tackles!

Sam Bulter, 17 touches, 4 marks or Seaby with 22 hitouts the only other roughies (unless someone played a good defensive game which stats don't highlight).

if they go the one-off performance then skipworth. but they sometimes look for consistancy over the season,i think butler deserves that.

Skipworth was born on the 25th of February 1982. Too old by almost a year.

Hadley has already been nominated.

McClean would be my roughy. Cooney was alright when he was on, but simply doesn't get enough of it and would probably want to get one soon.

Pretty spot on.

Cooney will be good, don't worry ;)

Hale played really well on the weekend, I hadn't seen him before but I was very impressed.

My spreadsheet had 83 too... think I would have got it from the little AFL 04 book you got with the Wizard Cup Record.
He was first drafted in 2000, along with other 83 born players like Hadley (who I had forgotten that he'd been nominated), Ash McGrath, the Lonie twins and Alan Didak, so that doesn't rule him out.
AFC.com.au has an article about him, where they describe him as 19-year old and 21-year old in the same article, written in Dec 03!
http://afc.com.au/default.asp?pg=players&spg=playerprofiledisplay&articleid=107823
This article has him as a 20 year old, in Oct 03

This one has him as a 20 year old, written in July 2003, so that ties in with 83.

Why not Bradley given his efforts against Melbourne?

Didn't get to see the whole game, and I'm not saying he was bad - but 8 possies in his first game for 12 weeks? He would be about 15th in line.

Yeah, except for the getting the nomination bit.
