Ahh sure smells like footy season once again...

The mighty blue boys up against an old enemy who just happen to be the raining premier in front of 90K at the 'G', nothing beats that. We spoiled Collingwood's party last year, its now time to gatecrash Richmond's flag raising ceremony with a classic win.

No one on the outside thinks we've got any hope, pundits predicting 10 goal floggings, $5 outsiders with the bookies, Tiger fans are as confident as you've ever seen them and their team has probably more talent than we do, but games aren't always won by talent as we all know from the 99 prelim and I don't think there is a team more determined to succeed this year us. Anything can happen and if we play the way we did in the JLT matches then we might just make a game out of this.

So many times in recent years Carlton has shocked the footy world. In 2007 from 48 points down to win against Essendon, a famous win against the eventual premiers Geelong in 2009, beating Collingwood in a game no one thought we had any chance of winning in 2012, winning 4 in a row in 2016 when no one thought we'd win any of those and of course the finals win over Richmond back in 2013. We didn't stand a chance of beating the Tigers then, they were certainties to win their first final in 12 years against a team who had limped in to the 8 yet we never stopped believing and that is what we need to do tonight.

Go get em blues!!
