Annoying in some respects, because it felt like there were a number of 12 point plays resulting in Brisbane goals; two of them go the other way and we win.

But honestly, after quarter time that was a really good effort and there was much to like.

Can’t be upset about that one. We had a real dip.

rule interpretations is what ****ing annoys me.. Essendon player has ball knocked loose in a tackle and its holding the ball, happens to Lions and its play on. Happened at least 4 times (Neale x 2, Zorko x 1, Merret x 1)

Well I sure as hell didn't expect that. I'm more than happy with that - a real show of effort. There were a few passengers like Guelf, Perkins ... Hobbs was very costly. But man I'm liking some of these kids, and that has to be Caddy's best overall game for us. Also nice to see Calders get back some of his pre-injury form too

Definitely more positives than negatives. Was looking like a 100 point loss at 20 minute mark off 1Q. Lots of character building stuff. We know there a personel changes required but at least everyone gave 100 tonight.

Not really half a team, probably a better balance than Scott would have picked. Should be Reid for Lav, Ridley for Prior, Langford for ADW and Draper for Goldstein. Everything else should stay the way it is.

Good effort.
I'll apologies for saying it again, but the endeavor and effort shown in the last 3 quarters should be the standard that group holds themselves to moving forward.
We still lack the composure of the better teams, and need to keep developing game awareness, but there are some promising signs.
Keep playing the kids and bringing in players who want to take the game on.

Another game where you left scratching your head about what the rules of the game are and why they are applied differently to different players at different times and at diffferent location on teh ground

2 x 1sts, nga prospects, a good f/s in the compromised draft and a competent list manager.

Think most of all we have an aligned rebuild approach just need supporters expectations and alignment.

I expect bottom 4-5 finish and only 9 or so wins but first time in a decade I've been confident of our approach.

Just need to hold steady as we drop off and have the hard to watch performances. We will be good in a few years. Stick fat

I like for the foreseeable future merrett off half back, missed a few tonight but he is one of the only blokes in the team capable of taking the game on through the middle and offers point of difference to the other big blokes who like to kick sideways every time.

Just need more mids capable of running through the middle.

ehhh, mckay's been the least of our problems defensively. hasn't had any shockingly bad games for a month or two. volume of entries in severely hurts the whole defensive unit.
