I can't remember what I did last night, certainly not those details from a year ago.By who
I'd be very surprised if anyone had ridiculed you. Maybe your foggy memory has clouded that too?I can't remember what I did last night, certainly not those details from a year ago.

You remember all those details? Thought you couldn’t remember what happened last night. At the time:
- we were looking like a bottom 4 side
- most thought Francis would never play again, or not ever be fit enough to.
- plenty of question about Hooker's fitness going forward
- Gleeson long term injuries.
- Goddard was still playing on his last legs, so Redman still hadn't played seniors and Ridley barely, so most didn't know what we had there.
- BigFooty Essendon board as a whole was not a fun place to be.
I'm not sure how anything on Bigfooty would surprise you.
Watching the EFC leaves scars on my retinas, all I need to do is blink 10 times quickly, and images of all our failures over the last 18 years, literally flash before my very eyes. You remember all those details? Thought you couldn’t remember what happened last night.
Very accurate recollection. Bizarre. At the time:

I really don't know what to think about this sport anymore.
From the ground this game was a steaming pile of ********* that admittedly looked much better on TV (where you can't see how much of a dogs breakfast the "structures" are).
Hawks are pretty bad and we really didn't bury the game which should have been dead by 3/4, I'm looking at you Laverde - I'm sick of having to wait one more week before gloating. Hoochie Mama!
The back six is a thing of beauty, particularly now that McKenna has hit top form (I thought he was clearly BOG). The ball use of our much vaunted midfielders and some of the usual suspects is atrocious - they are handball specialists.
It's very hard to work out where the team really sits, for all of the obvious reasons. It's always hard to know how much of the psychological stuff you project as a viewer but, in my view, the team generally does not look confident. Maybe trying a bit too hard trying to play 1 way and knowing that we probably can't win the alternative.
Despite what some of the number may have said in the first half, I never really thought that Hawthorn was controlling the play. Holding on to the ball is one thing but it is not like there was any danger of that possession being converted to scores with the amount of time it gave us to flood back. It was more like possession was ceded as long as it did not result in scores.
If West Coast is playing its good football on Thursday, we will need to be able to engage playing slow because I they'll be able to shut down the quick transition (meaning that we will need a measured build up for at least half of our scores from half back).
This seems to be the general sentiment on the Hawks board when I was having a quick read of it earlier.Coming in peace.
Difficult pill to swallow but Strats wasn't a captains a-hole the other night. Apologies for the bullsh*t behaviour that was on display. Has no place in our game.
Thanks Mr 900. Your supporters are by and large entitled twats (we are too but without reason) but you seem like a good egg.Coming in peace.

Surely stomping will cost weeks, plural... People seem to get very het-up about kicking someone for some reason
Thanks for popping over.Coming in peace.

I hadn't been to the footy for ages till last ANZAC Day and I noticed a big difference with this. I actually felt uncomfortable with the eyes everywhere.Did anyone read the article about security there?

I also caught a bit of the Carlton game on telly tonight. The security there seem like fascists pigs.
AFL should consider sending Stratton as a delegate to the Australian sporting ignoramus round table.
Kyrgios and Tomic there to represent tennis, Folau and Hayne to represent all 37 rugby codes, Warner for cricket, Bogut for basketball and Muscat for soccer.

"Hey George, where can I leave my timesheet?"Does George Calombaris get the catering gig?
I liked Kevin Muscat though. In a sport full of over paid pretty boys diving for frees you knew that when he tackled a bloke they weren't faking it. Bought a bit of respectability to the game.AFL should consider sending Stratton as a delegate to the Australian sporting ignoramus round table.

It was a true six or seven goal game - Structurally we are sound team, though just lacking a bit of consistency over four quarters and that extra spark which are key features of the top teams - I suspect this could turn quickly, even in the space of a year.
