How is it possible for full time footballers to make the sheer volume of basic skill errors?

Sometimes they're not complete clangers but the chip wide that bounces to a teammate instead of hitting the chest. The handball that makes the player stop instead of keep running.

Our ball movement constantly breaks down on really basic mistakes under no pressure.

Yep midfield is getting absolutely slaughtered. Admittedly not much coaching can effect that.
