"Collingwood will take their high-pressure game to a new level and try to choke West Coast in tomorrow’s MCG blockbuster, according to vice-captain Taylor Adams.

Adams said the “Magpie Army” would turn the MCG into an intimidating cauldron to greet an Eagles side that has travelled to the grand final venue only once this season...It’s powerful getting 70-80,000 people there and hearing them chant ‘Collingwood."

Promises to be a fun game...

I’m confident enough with Sheed’s work with ball in hand to know that he’ll eventually address those concerns. He’s shown in the past that he can find the ball and use it with some poise. My biggest concern for him though is when the opposition have the ball. He doesn’t strike me as a defensively minded player. Gaff and masten for instance aren’t particularly great tacklers, but you know they’re working their backsides off when the opposition get the ball to try and clog up space or provide an outlet if we get the ball back. I’m not sure that sheed will ever develop this same work ethic, which could see him overtaken by guys like Ainsworth who seem to be naturally inclined to do the harder defensive stuff.

Hmm I reckon if your career became threatened you would start to take on a more defensive mindset. Definitely easier for some than others I agree

Hmm, I'm not so sure you either have awareness or you don't. I guess you could teach him to be quicker with getting rid of the ball but that's not fixing the awareness issue, that's just working around it.

Priddis
Sheed would be great but i fear we cannot play Sheed, Redden and Hutch all in the same team just too slow. One would need to come out. Redden is a gun now playing great footy. So that leaves Hutch V Sheed. Sheed has more talent but Hutch is playing well and playing his role

Hutch can do a shut down role on a star player .....sheed can’t

Sheed is slow and has almost zero defensive game, he's had some great moments but jeez hes not looking like anything more than trade bait at the moment.

Wowee.

Difficult to read this.

Dom will shave his head, bring on the non preferred and get his way back into the seniors.

Dom had 38 disposals today and 3 tackles. Not too bad given it was a big win.

My, my how the worm has turned.

Less than 12 months ago many wanted him delisted.

He has played much better back in his original role, but with Cripps, Venables, Rioli, Waterman, Ryan and Le cras I think this group could rotate off that wing and provide more hurt factor. I want Waterman to play that link player role, has the height, run and work ethic to do well off a wing and rest deep forward.
Waterman's field kicking is not up to standard to be delivering forward.

Besides, Masten's best work is being done in defence the past few weeks, he's been leading hard and racking up uncontested marks, he's a popular kick out target as well.

Not looking fwd to going to the G tomorrow. Even our wins there have been frustrating. Last good win there was against Tigers in 15'.

Can't see us winning this one but still a bit hopeful.

Another chance to right some MCG’s wrongs

Let’s get behind the lads!!
