Gotta praise Motlop again, he is never afraid to be bold/take risky chances.

Love that confidence and self-assurance in a teen/kid. Has natural footy instincts.

I think maybe the coach(es) will try instruct him to be a bit more patient/think more literally when he gets the ball, but he has all the intangible qualities and zest you want in a young player.

It's games like this where Newnes is exposed.

B- grader at best. Solid against average teams but clearly is 10% off against good teams.

B- is generous... C- is fair. He is below average.

Cottrell and Hayes really haven't done much better.

In fairness probably not the best type of game to have a full debut for us either, always was gonna be a massive step up in intensity.

The one player no one is mentioning is Motlop , while he may develop into a future player at present he is far from being up to it at this level…. Blues have carried a few players the last mnth or so and are far from top 4 … possible 8 would be good going forward but never gunna be there this yr…

Regardless of how others have played, he's been the worst by a country mile. There's a reason he was playing in the VFL this year because he isn't good enough for AFL. It's not his fault but he should never play again.
