It was a s**t performance for us in many ways but not to be unexpected with outs like Langford, Shiel and McGrath; essentially half of what would be our first choice midfield. Add in missing players like Jones, Caldwell and Francis and it's understandable why some of our pressure and structure was lacking.

In an ideal world, Cox wouldn't be playing right now. Dude tries hard but is clearly gassed at this point in the season.

And thanks for your past efforts Devon, but I don't want to see you play a game next year.

Time to enjoy a frothy, well done lads years gone by we would of lost that each game is a learning curve, sometimes we judge to harshly look at hawks and dees last night, just take the win, and move onto the next one. Go Bombers!

Didn't see much of it but we looked very flat at times. Hopefully it was down to North just applying too much pressure, otherwise it's a bit of a worrying sign that we weren't ready to go for a game that could put in the 8.
Still, like the last week, at least we banked the points; and were resilient enough to eek out the win.

Durham looked good, Stringer is having a real purple patch and Ridley looked excellent again.
Cox really needs a break but we are running very low on AFL standard players. Unless he improved remarkably after the first, Smith needs to sit for a game.

For those that understand the game better than me (so most of you), the free kick against Redman at CHB near the end there, was that for a dangerous tackle? And if so, is there particular wording about putting the shoulder into someone, or is there just a general vibe around "don't smash people too hard"?

Sign of growth that after a horrendous first half, we snapped out of it and went on to close out a win and beat them in the second half by 5 goals

Essington of the last 10 years would have gone on to lose that with our tail between our legs

Stringer the difference, Wright coming into his own and we have found an absolute beauty in Durham. The MSD has treated us well.
