Thought Phillips was good. Liked Gibbons and SPS. Cripps is Cripps. Still think we are a tall short and lack of big bodies lacking in the middle. Fasolo is non existent. Setterfield still finding his feet

Some really good sign though.

Like to see Thomas up forward, maybe Newman on the ball or Plowman.
Phillips can't even halve the contest in the ruck. The fast clearances are so simple for them at the moment. Lycett is murdering him.

As was the case last season, the gulf in quality between our best and worst footy is enormous, and sways toward the latter far too easily, often in just minutes. When things don't go our way, we don't seem to be able to arrest the slide back into the mire of panicked, rushed football, and the running effort falls away, too.
It’s almost like we stop. We get so worried about getting scored against we just setup a zone and forget about attacking.

Time to reset. Bolton needs to try a few things and get us going. First quarter very good, second quarter poor. Game not over

Also, some comments on here regarding players are PATHETIC. Criticise or complain but keep things in perspective and don't ABUSE and calls NAMES. It's PATHETIC
Shuttup Soap. Theres a game in progress. FMD this is not a nursery ffs

Mids need to work harder. Defensive set up and structure faltered big time but I think mainly due to mids not providing enough options upon exit. We’ve been just pumping it long and they’ve punished us for it. Shocking quarter, good thing is the margin is only 3 goals and we have 60 mins of footy to hunt them down. Injuries are killer, sure, but We are in this.

Playing gov in defence is an abomination of a coaching move.

We have too few fwd targets..lets move one of them to defence. WTF?

Our defense is not the problem. Its our midfield and small forwards shitting the bed for a whole qtr.

Absolutely horrible.
cause the ball was coming in laces out for mcgovern up front........seriously..........lucky I'm cooking a stew.......

I don’t think Polson chose to take advantage, I think he thought it was play on. We had a player in the square who walked away from the incoming ball from his kick

1 good quarter, 1 bad quarter. Polson miss was crucial, but I think he took off before the ump decided to give Carlton a free in front of goal.
Umpiring so bad as to warrant a formal complaint to the AFL.
I'm so tired and frustrated at the bias evident in the umpiring. Port kid had his eyes on Murphy and took him out.No free. Reportable imo. Daisy spoils Port player in front of goal. Free kick. Phillips and McKay getting scragged and blocked off the ball almost every time. No Free.
