We will get another high pick.

Charlie and Harry will have time to recover.

The competition will collapse

Civilization will end.

The planet will be saved.

Cripps will still be a gun.

Reckon where we need to look to improve, apart from getting Curnow and McKay back is upgrading areas of weakness.
Poor disposal and pace and those who lack intensity and physicality. You can be weak in these areas and make up for it in other areas but we have a few who don't.

From last weeks side I'm looking at Dow, Gibbons and Setterfield primarily.

Dow - poor kick, poor intensity, not overly physical. No elite qualities apart from burst speed which is rarely used. Had a real nothing game, being played out of position.

Gibbons - Not quick enough for the small forward role IMO. Did very little. Kicking is non-damaging.

Setterfield - Did show a bit last year but did nothing. Disposal is not damaging and lacks speed.

We have good pace and disposal in reserve. IMO if we're going to play players out of position we should be playing those who have skill, pace and good intensity.

Williamson - pace, hard at it and great disposal. Just play him. Out of position or not.

O'Brien - might lack physicality but he can run and kick. Has to be a better forward option ahead of Dow and better outside option ahead of Setterfield.

Philp - If he's quick and physical then why not consider him?

Honey - same as Philp.

Stocker - Has some pace, hardness and a good kick. If he has one shot and kicks a goal that's better than Gibbons and Dow.

These are the ones I'd consider as ins and outs.

I think with short quarters rotational players are wasted. Better to go with specialists. Probably also better to lean more towards pace than endurance.

Would not be against giving a player like Honey or Philp a go or Playing O'Brien forward/wing or Williamson wing or even Simpson forward.

Find a way to squeeze in more pace and skill and also go a little taller up forward.
If you have a look in the 2020 list management thread Gbatman I have done a post addressing the issues you mentioned through a couple of trades at years end one of which is Hately at GWS to assist in the guts and who is everything Setters should be, also he showed in the Marsh series exactly what we thought Setters would show but unfortunately he didn’t, the other being Isaac Cumming who has both speed and good ball use with a great leap thrown in, both young but ready to step up and become genuine AFL talent with speed and ball use, heaven sent if we can get them. 👍🏽

We may not play the Dogs - expect the AFL to re-do the fixture if and when the season resumes.
Maybe, however I recall the AFL originally stating they would be able to keep the fixture pretty consistent with the original fixture until circa round 7 - which was when the first double up game was - might be mistaken on the specific round. Would seem the best bet to keep things as planned as many clubs would have already performed early opposition analysis on the nearest opponents in the fixture.

I recall similarly. I wonder if they'll tinker with things to try maximise TV audiences - I'm pretty certain they will do for 2021, or whenever next we see crowds back at the footy.

Don't think opposition analysis will have any bearing on things.

Would'nt be a surprise if there is a rejig to maximise TV audiences to recoup as much as possible.
Definitely likely - I'm anticipating they will be negotiating hard with Seven and Foxtel to maximize the number of prime-time games and have fewer daytime and twilight matches until crowds can return. They'll be in discussions already as they will not deliver the games contracted, and the games themselves will be shorter which reduces advertising time for Seven.
