We play at the Dome on Saturday..almost certainly at 7.10

But the question is do we want to win and set up a potential clash with West Coast Freo or Adel or do we want to go down this week so judd can come back with less eyes on him and no real pressure?
Btw: Imagin if Judd comes back rd 3 of nab cup and west coast win through!

The result really doesn't matter all that much. All I want to see is steady improvement from the kids that we play. This competition is not about the result as much as it is about giving the youngsters on our list some invauable experience out on the ground.

Also want to see Stevo and Fev gradually eased back into the swing of things after injury.

Hey, winning form is good form, and I think we need some of that winning form. During the NAB Cup last year, we put our best teams out week after week to win but if we can continue doing what we did with Port Adeliade last night then I would be a very happy boy:thumbsu:.

keep playing some of the younger fellas playing the nab cup, if the team we played with last night won next week against whoever, some of the youngest/new guys might gain a bit more confidence and all that. even if it is a 'practice' game, actual matchplay and another win against another team would be a huge confidence boost to the side.

Win or lose, I don't care...it's all about the players getting used to the new style of play and learning to gel with each other in real time matches.

The only thing that is pissing me right off, is that opposition supporters are saying we put in an A grade side:confused: If i'm not mistaken, we did put in a good team, but no better than a B-. We were missing some pretty big players and so were Port. This would be the only slight reason why I would want to win, so we can shove it right up them when ever we do win.

Great to see the boys having a go and really putting them selves on the line... a few shockers from Murhy & Cloke, but with more real game time, they will only improve to their potential!

Go Blues!

Win...besides the fact i want to watch us win every time i can, i would prefer to see our boys run around on AFL standard grounds rather than drought affected rural grounds for as much of pre season as possible!!

I wouldn't have thought the result was that important. It's all about the players getting used to Rattens new game plan, where they are in terms of their development and having a look at some of our new players like Kreuzer, Pfieffer, Ellard and Armfield.

Do we want to win? Certainly.
Do we need to win? Of course not.

As long as we keep in mind that the preseason cup is just a means to an end and are just glorified practice matches there's no reason the team that plays against Hawthorn shouldn't play to win.

Well said guys ! We all want to see the boys win , always . Being nab cup games ATM has very little relevence to what we seriously crave .... premiership points !

Shocking poll options

Firstly, most people seem to be saying that winning is not the most important objective here, but they are not against winning, and yet there was no option for that, the most reasonable, logical and popular choice

Secondly, how is 'definately not' different to 'tank!'?

Thirdly, what does 'definately' mean?

DEFINATLEY - as used in the poll? Not a word.

definately - as used by yourself? Not a word.

Win a Must :) no more losses allowed don't wanna give anyone a excuse to say were tanking so win.win, win at all costs

win? yes it would be nice

at all costs? are u kidding me? if u were an opposition supporter i would rip through u. but since ur a blues fan i'll explain it to you. Would it be good to win by playing stevo and fev all game and not letting any youngsters have TOG?

Would it be a good thing if Stevo or Fev got another injury through playing the whole game?

Would it be good if we had players get into it and win the game but a couple of guys get suspended?

*Blood pressure goes down*

:thumbsu: I agree... however at the end of the day, the more competitive games they play before the start of the season means the more games they have played getting used to Ratts game plan.

This way, they are more settled with it and when the season proper comes around, it's all good :)

Yes.....but if they can also win then irs a nice boost to their confidence.

We should continue to develop some of the young guys, and I'd really like to see Hadley, Austin and Anderson have a run this week, but if they do, and they get a win......bonus.:thumbsu:
