i don’t think jake kelly did bad on the wing though i can’t recall how often he’s ended up playing there throughout his career. doesn’t really have the pace to match anyone important but he’s accountable for his player (generally).

i think when everyone is fit we’ll have a pretty potent team… hopefully

Rough on Heppel, he was ok in an oft under siege back 6

Respectfully, I couldn’t agree less. He’s filling out the full bingo card of things you don’t want your defenders doing.

He’s always going to put his head where it doesn’t belong and try his guts out, but he did not have a good night last night.

Okay, I've now seen the game. A few points:
  • Sure, the Papley bounce was lucky, but Wicks kicks that other goal 9/10.
  • The insufficient intent of Phillips would be paid that way most of the time.
  • McGrath is a headless chook unless he is given the specific task of nullifying someone.
  • Bryan showed some very good signs.
  • Langford has activated beast mode (he has the strut).
  • Hobbs is proving himself both an outside and inside player.
  • Cox looks good down back (oooh, kinky!)
