Much better outcome than most of had expected. Can't fault the effort. Roberts runs himself into trouble quite a lot but I like that he is always trying to get the ball moving. With better players round creating the outside option would be a lot fewer turnovers. Let's hope wr can draft some players able to hit targets by foot when at pace.

Effort was certainly there.
Durham and Merrett really stood up in the second half.
Laverde and redman tried hard and were valiant.
I thought May looked great. McMahon knows where the goals us but looks physically incapable.
I thought Archie Perkins showed some real ability today.

Well that went pretty much as I expected

We lost by about 75 less than I expected.

I think there was a lot to like tonight. We showed a lot of pluck, we were never seriously going to challenge them but that little period in the third was genuinely exciting - the pressure and the way we actually defended space really well.

We need to build on that. They need to take a lot of heart from their effort.

Under 50 for me is almost like a win. Our effort was good again. We've been absolutely toweled up by them at much greater margins with full strength teams in recent years.
