So none of the feral pies fans can go on an rampage after their finals hopes are crushed by north melbourne.
Seriously unless teh AFL and collingwood agree to pay teh roos at least 150,000 dollars each, for the money the roos would make up there, the game should stay there, this is a vital cash injection for north melbourne and eddie Mcguire is simply a selfish fat idiot who needs to go on a diet.

i think what's more important is that the AFL needs to stop scheduling matches on the Sunday of Round 22. The fact that all interstate teams are playing each other is a good move, but there are four games on the Sunday, with two Vic teams playing interstate (Roos v Pies).

It's just so stupid of the AFL. No team that plays on the Sunday can be scheduled to play the first final on the Friday night. There is a possibility that of teams that play on the Friday or Saturday, no two teams will be scheduled to play each other in the first week of the Finals. That would mean that 1 team playing on the Sunday will have to front up on Friday for their final.

The AFL in future needs to schedule:

Friday night
1 game in melbourne
1 game interstate

Saturday
3 games in melbourne (ie. MCG, CS, OO/SS)
1 game interstate

Saturday night
1 game in melbourne
1 game interstate

Why do I get the feeling you are FJD/Abuser Etc...?

I have no probs playing the match in Canberra but it being played at a 15,000 seat venue which is the same capacity as Arden St Oval.

Mags

Anything that denies Collingwood fans the privlige of seeing their team (except when their lose) i'm all for it.

Well my sources say the game is staying in Canberra - just a change to the start time...

"MEDIA RELEASE FROM THE AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The AFL wishes to advise the starting time of the Round 22 match between the
Kangaroos and Collingwood, to be played at Manuka Oval on Sunday September
2, has been altered to 1.40pm from 2.10pm due to the early dusk in Canberra
at that time of the year"
