I say this as a staunch Essendon slop consumer, that was a rough one

Glad we did that whole board takeover and coach sacking stuff 3 years ago - it’s really paid offAnother year of disappointment. Been absolute dog shit for 20 years and no sign of success on the horizon. We have to be the most loyal supporter base ever.

man this season ain't anywhere near the bottom 5 since 2005 for me. last season when we kept on barely defeating horrible teams so we could finish a 'respectable' 11th sucked a whole lot more than this oneAnd so ends the most painful season since 2005, when I was too young to really know what pain is.

He did!My boy JYE MENZIE had a game
I genuinely think we were the second worst team this year behind West Coast. Half a game in front of North and 1 game in front of Richmond who had like 6 or 7 top 30 picks in a super draft.and still we are not the worst team in the league - 3 worse teams than us...that's all I've got. It was bad.
McGrath can go, bye bye.Maybe a dead rubber but didn't see any fight from players playing for their careers.
Need to hit the track/gym big time.
McGrath attempted tackle on Rowell sums us up.
Who asks for a tradeI'm surprised that, according to Brad, we won't be making list cuts/changes straight away. What more do they need to see?
The theory of bottoming out is fine. The reality is, like you say, potentially being stuck there for a longer than expected time. There's really no other way, though.A lot of essendon followers/supporters wanted the dons to finally bottom out.
You got it.
I wonder if North and W.C at the time wanted the same. They lost any form of winning culture then got stuck at the arse end.
Maybe the last 20 years have been solid for essendon and the next 10 years are in the bottom 3.
Deffinately a chance for Kako, Caddy, Clake to hitch a ride in a few years if this doesnt turn around.
I watched most of last night, gross. Our seniors would struggle in the 2's (thats right 3/4 are 2's players)
I vote that we bring in Sarah Jones to help with list management.I'm surprised that, according to Brad, we won't be making list cuts/changes straight away. What more do they need to see?
Yeah the Stench is Brad giving a pat on the back to the boys for loosing by +50 a lot of games. The theory of bottoming out is fine. The reality is, like you say, potentially being stuck there for a longer than expected time. There's really no other way, though.
There's a stench about the playing group that has to be removed, before it taints everyone on the list.
Bit hard to orchestrate a clean out of sub par senior players without bottoming out. Our issue was we held onto mediocre players for too long rather than investing games into the youth. It kept us off the bottom because bad mature players are more effective than good youth but it was never going to lead to long term improvementA lot of essendon followers/supporters wanted the dons to finally bottom out.
