Pretty pleased with how we played. Obviously we started poorly but collingwood we incredible that first quarter so to come back was a great effort.

So frustrated with the umpiring. So many poor decisions. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

How good are Redman and Ridley? Super pleased with how they are tracking with so little experience. Played really well on a huge stage with finals like pressure.

We are building, we are really starting to build a good list. :thumbsu:

TBC toiled away and was more effective as Grundy tired but yeah, that was always going to be a tough match-up. He took some good grabs around the ground - far from our worst (Brown wins that honour today).

I'm closer to thinking that Bellchambers' game was "fools gold" than not.

Could hardly keep his feet when the heat was on.

His work in the hitouts is probably the only functional aspect of his play.

We shouldn’t be booing at the presentation. It simply asks for trouble. Stupid behaviour. As a result the media will blow it completely out of proportion/ will put heat on whether Essendon and Collingwood should own Anzac Day/the club will have to release a statement apologising. The game itself was awesome umpiring aside, we are legitimately not far off being a legit top 4 team.

I thought nearly everyone had their ups and downs throughout a pretty competitive match. Generally speaking a lot of our blokes took too long to be able to handle the Collingwood pressure. We missed Fantasia in the first half particularly because he's the one that can break apart the zone when the pressure is fierce. We've got plenty that can run really well when the pressure is not as hot.

Must give our coaching panel credit for being able to get the game played on our teams after half time though. Ultimately we made too many mistakes which cost us.

Heppell and Shiel were super at winning the ball but they just butchered it too often. Merrett wasn't given much time to kick but I thought his handballs were really clean and some of his little tap-ons and touches really made an impact.
Was exciting to see Daniher back playing some great footy and I thought Stringer had a red hot crack. Tippa struggled to get into the game but everything he did was class.
Saad was spectacular at times and I had a good laugh at the Cox vs Saad interaction in the 4th quarter.

I don't know what's going on with Smith. Is his knee issues flaring up or is that a new injury? Either way if he's not right we should be giving him time to get everything right.

Dude, there was 92,000 present and a close game would ensure a big tv audience. This fixture is going nowhere.

Flat as a shit carter's hat.

Sick of honerable losses as proud as I am.

Eddie's face just killed me at the end when brown got that in the back after they just threw the ball rugby style.

The game has lost the ability to be umpired, nobody knows what a holding the ball is, what incorrect disposal is... The rule should be this. REWARD THE TACKLER. Nuff said.

Daniher and Moore are the new knights and van der haar.

David Myers is like the newly single 36 year old trying to fit in with the cool kids at the night club...

We are a finals team.

We live by the sword, going corridor when chasing the game was needed, it comes off you win, but the risk is there, few got chopped out , so be it.

If we put out a club statement about umpires I'll spew. Suck it up, shit happens.

We forced Collingwood away from their game style, bodes well.

Surely that tackle by Howe on Ridley where he pinned both arms and slammed him face first into the turf is a suspension.
Definition of a dangerous tackle.

On the other hand, it is Michael Christian and we are Essendon. Ridley will likely end up fined for not protecting himself properly.

and has made it a bigger thing than it was. The only thing that people will remember from this game now.
People should've shut up as soon as the presentation started.
Fair call. We couldn’t work out why he was booed. I figured it had something to do with the shitty umpiring.
Turns out "Boooo!" didn't articulate the point supporters were trying to make. Maybe we should try something else next time?

I was tempted to throw the bone head Collingwood supporter off tier 3.
