The umps were very bad today, almost to the point where it might be worth an investigation into gambling patterns. That being said, we were very sloppy at times. I go from loving Conor's running to raging at what he does with the ball :/
BRIGHT SIDE is that we were within a goal of winning against a very very good side in a huge game which bodes well if we make the 8.
Didn't deserve to win it after that first quarter... but then did everything possible to win it... and then at the end everything possible to lose it again...
Won't even mention the umpires. They weren't great but that's how it goes. Supporters a little embarrassing at the end but it was a heated day and tough loss to take.
No, but anything less than a win after that umpiring, with the game coming down to the wire was always going to be emotional. Collingwood song seems a bit subdued too. Bad umpiring leaves a bad taste for everyone
Cop the fine and release a club statement through the media denouncing the appalling umpiring. So many times noone - not even the players - had a clue what was going on. Skill errors hurt us, but that umpiring fmd.
I get the boos for the context, it’s unfortunate that Pendlebury got the grunt of it and the fact is it looks horrible on our supporters and the umpiring will take a back seat I assure you.
we were so dam close.
Raz to come back in.
Saad best on for us. Isn't it great to have Joey back?
Hats off to Guelf, and also to Bags. Justifies his selection.
It's not though. We won 3 quarters yet lost the game. So we've not been good enough for a portion of the game, they've been 2nd best for a lot of the game. Decisions matter a lot in tight ones.
