Harry playing ruck at 20% of centre bounces and in F50 is fine, Jarryd Roughead has done it his whole career, didn't seem to affect him too much
Pretty sure Hawks traditionally used a 2 ruck set up for most of Roughy's career early on didn't they?

But yeah he'll be fine hopefully if he can build on his tank...Casboult unlikely to be in the seniors for much longer so long-term McKay will have to play that ruck support role.

The main reason lots of people don't want him in there is because he's so devastating inside F50 right now...he is the forward hitting the scoreboard the most, so we want him there as much as possible vs Hawks.

Gov and Charlie not in the best form, but they should improve so we won't feel we need to have McKay inside F50 all game.

So we never make a move unless we "know".

Every bit of evidence we have over their 2 careers to date (and judging by where they got drafted even before that) would point to Cuningham coming in for Polson being a positive for the team and the team performance in round 1 where Cuningham played and Polson didn't didn't display any evidence of a lack of cohesion or imbalance.

Team game, everyone has a role

Cuners has shown that ability at JLT level only
I rate both highly. I am more than confident Cuningham will be a gun. Have said it since he was drafted.

HOWEVER, we aren't exactly taking about established stars and it isn't always about 1 or the other. What if Kennedy gets picked and Jack stays? Long long way to go yet

Which is more than Polson has shown in his 3 games so far this season.

He doesn't play a 'role'
A goal and four direct assists a few weeks back. But really he has to do more theres no doubt and do it regular. Maybe thats why Pagan and Ratten also said ...if only they all had 50 games under their belt.

Go back to my original statement rather than targeting one aspect
Team game, everyone has a role

Cuners has shown that ability at JLT level only

And I'm saying that Cunners ability displayed at JLT level is much more than Polson has ever shown, thus my argument that he should be picked this week over Cam.

Macca, you are now arguing for what I have stated

You don't need the best coach, gameplan and or players

You need cohesion and buy in
Sigh.

For a start you are confusing continutity with "cohesion and buy in" - there is no evidence that the team will not be able to cope with changing Cuningham for Polson or that Cuningham doesn't "buy in" or will negatively impact cohesion.

Secondly you won't get anywhere with just "buy in" and "cohesion" if you players, coach and game plan aren't up to it and vice versa. You don't deliberately ignore the talent gap between Polson and Cuningham simply because Polson is the incumbent.

Clutching at straws is saying Polson is making any kind of worthwhile sustained contribution to the side at present.
You too must have come in midstream, so for your benefit and others:

I would recall Kennedy this week, while sending Polson back to the VFL. I would give Cuners a game in the VFL.

So if you want to have a debate with what I have stated, it is Kennedy v Cuners, nothing to do with Polson

I don't think anyone is saying that cuningham plays for himself while polson is all self-sacrificing or vice-versa.

they're both just role players at this stage in their careers, but on exposed form and ability cuningham has polson covered by a considerable distance.
Didn’t even know what was being debated. Just responding to Arr0w’s post.
