Just didn't want to embarrass his pop

Watched the kid over his last 2 years of junior footy, I knew he had some wheels, but his short sprint work has really surprised me

When his body starts to mature/build, think many will reassess their current outlook/predictions
I know many are calling for him and Polson to be dropped, but have any been negative enough to warrant reassessing their predictions once his body matures? Most wanting him dropped have said he's not ready yet, needs another preseason, build his strength, etc. Haven't seen many that said he won't make it ever.

For me he stays in as long as he's doing his job until Williamson is ready to take his spot.

Polson out for Cuningham as soon as they are confident he can get through a game and playing won't damage him further. Doesn't matter how rusty Cunners is, he'll contribute more than cam does.

Keep in mind you can get really windy conditions down in Tassy.

Might be hard to win aerial contests. Could play into Hawthorn's hands if we go into the match too top heavy.
Surely if anyone knows tassie conditions it’s Bolton.
I understand the hawks would have a good read on it also.

Just wanna say:

Just pause and think about how you’d feel if you were believing what your eyes were telling you with Hazza.

Like. The sample size is big enough. Preseason. Actual AFl games. Late last year.

BELIEVE. Get on board. Believe. It’s never too late.

Last time I was this sure:

Walsh. Just sayin.

Ok , here goes from Russell’s report :
Curnow to rest this week
Williamson 1 more in the reserves
Cuningham to play this week

1 change :
In : Cuningham
Out : Polson
O’Brien one more week? If so how do you think he’ll go if he finds himself on a wing with Isaac Smith?

The reality is Casboult will have to make way for Charlie, however, I wouldn't drop him just yet.

If Charlie isn't 100%, I'd rest him and give Levi another opportunity. Whilst Levi is showing something, give Charlie every opportunity to get his knee in perfect condition. It's a long season. No point rushing him back only to have unable to perform to his potential due to niggles.

Once Charlie is 100% ready to go, the decision will have to be made on one of them.

Can't have 4 tall forwards in the team because if your structures aren't working, it makes it very difficult to implement a plan B. An example of this was the match against Gold Coast.
He’ll be dealing with the bone bruising issue all season, it’s a shit of an injury.

Excuse the ignorance but who is Hazza?

If he goes in the deep end with Smith he’ll need to learn to swim fast.
O’Brien appears to “want it” bad enough and he possesses AFL weapons.
Absolutely a work in progress for us but could well reap handsome dividends in time.
If Williamson is ready to go for North it may not necessarily be O’Brien to make way. Ed , Plowman and Newman will want to stay on their toes and Setterfield , Kennedy and Stocker will also be hungry ...

Agree Cripps and Newman had short haircuts .

Nothing wrong with some hair. Tommy Alvin and Jonny Platten did ok.
But maybe to focus in to that next level a gmmick like a shearing can be a catalyst.
Mind you Tommy didn't have it in front of his eyes like Charlie.

Here's 1 reason, because Casboult only took 5 marks on the weekend. I am tipping that if Charlie had just 11 touches, 5 marks and 1 tackle everyone would be calling for him to stop partying.

Here is another. Charlie is simply a better player.

Here is a third, the more games we can have with Mitch, Harry and Charlie (plus Jack) as the marking talls the bette it will be long term.
Fourth: what are the odds that Levi plays two goods in a row? Statistically, very low.

That said, I'm just playing devil's advocate because its not a cc vs levi debate YET.

Levi is the backup ruck for now.

If CC is fit, he plays wing and high half forward.

Have you seen Smith play this year? He's carrying something and is currently a non-factor.

The more I think about it the more I feel we win this game. Hawks are pretty battered and wounded for this early in the season (Smith, Scully, Wingard and now McEvoy also look to be carrying something or working on fitness). They were decent against Geelong but we get an extra day's rest and will surely have our tails up. Our tall forwards should cause Brand and Stratton headaches (the latter has been poor this year) and the Cripps/SPS combo is better than anything they have in the midfield atm.

Breust has also been out of form but their small forwards will likely pose the biggest threat. Stop their smalls and curtail Sicily's influence down back and I'm confident we can register what would prove a confidence-boosting win on the road.

Their smalls seem to find form when they’re playing against us.

But they need to get it down there. As per usual the midfield battle will be huge and I think we have them covered.
