Hobbs looks not up to speed yet.
Not just not up to speed, his decision making is not confident. I know confidence comes with experience but at the moment he’s actively looking elsewhere rather than doing something himself with it.

Harry Jones fumbled a few today which would have been shots on goal.

I love how hard McGrath will continuously kick it. You can’t defend it when it’s on target. He’s back on track to be a decent player this season.

Hind is hopeless. Looney Tunes legs with no time to think about what he’s doing.

Can Parish play back in Martin’s role? We need Martin’s goal kicking and setup into the forward 50, rather than Darcy’s accumulation of the ball.

Ridley back will help.

All in all, today’s a positive on the big stage. If we gave up that lead in the 2qrt in years gone by, that game is a write off with a blowout result in the 2nd half.

How good would have Rids been. I’ve heard people say that there are better players such as Sicily. That may be true but I don’t remember Rids playing as many bad games as people judged better than him. Especially a team like us that has been an up and down team. I have never seen the Essington version of Rids yet.

you never will either, he’s too smart, too consistent, and too reliable

jones & stringer kicked 2.6 between them
Also on top of Mihocek’s misses Bobby Hill kicked 0.3
king of the hill GIF

I think Ess is going along nicely. Im not sure they are at that convincing make a statement win level yet. The mental game is taking shape though which can be quite a challenge in itself. Sure there will be lost games that looks like regression but that is part of the growing. Brad has been great for this club imo.

Could've, should've, would've but, Collingwood could say the same.
Major positives for us.
Hepps keeps sticking up our arses, experience today along with Goldy was invaluable.
Draper is not far off what we need him to be.
Cox is back, Hobbs has gone backwards.
Overall not a bad result.

The miss hurt but I try not to judge close games by a single moment. Feel like they had more chances than us and we didn’t lose 🤷‍♂️
Turning point of the game was Stringers miss, would've made it 7 to 1, Pies kicked next 6.
No way knockng Stringer but, it hurt.
ps. he's my favorite Bomber.

Should have won. As led most of the day. Parish better today and whole mid group looked good.

Laverde, hind and hobbs probably need some full games in the 2s urgently.

Hayes, guelfi and tsatas as replacements but suspect depends on Cox and Jones injuries.

Goldy probably should be rested from a trip to Perth.

Sounds silly but danger game next week and we need to keep banking points. Usually drop away a lot 2nd half. Bit nervous after two huge weeks/games.
True. Today is all for nought if we drop a game to WCE. And they are significantly better than last year

Thought we played well overall.

Great from stoppage. Team looks very different when Jake plays like an AA midfielder. Which he managed to be for about a quarter. Was also the main reason the “tall” lineup worked. So credit where it’s due.

Thought the pressure and physicality was at the level of good sides for most of the game. Still fell back to old habits of trying to coral players rather than tackle at times as game wore on and got sloppier. But overall the improvement seems to be there.

Looked like a good side at times.

Still have major issues with generating play though transition. Thats going to have to significantly improve if this team wants to challenge the best sides.

Also if we could stop kicking it to Darcy Moore’s opponent and an instant turnover that would have been great.

Probably would have won by 6-8 goals if we could transition the play effectively as so many bad turnovers led to direct shots at goal
