Is this what we are coming to?

A GRANDMOTHER murdered in her Adelaide home in a “very deliberate, calculated and vicious attack” may have been the innocent victim of a violent road-rage incident, police believe.

The 57-year-old’s death was declared a Major Crime on Saturday night after her body was found inside the Valley View house she shared with her son, 29, his wife, 27, and their three young children.

In a crime that shocked police, the middle-aged victim was killed in a “home invasion” and her daughter-in-law “viciously assaulted” before being bound and gagged.

The children, a boy and two girls aged five, four and two, were inside the house but were not physically harmed, while their father was working at Daw Park.

Not sure how hard I can go but there are 2 absolute scumbags sitting somewhere thinking they are tough as. But I bet they cry like babies when they are caught, and they will be caught. Best I stop before I go too far.

If you know these 2 men then tell them to give themselves up.

One suspect was described as 173cm tall, well built, with yellow curly hair and wearing a white T-shirt. The second intruder had dark-coloured clothing with a hoodie and spoke with an accent.

This is a weird one. I don't buy the road rage story. Police say she and her family weren't known to them but sounds like she was targeted.
The only thing that seems off to me is that they keep saying '' the son was at work at the time''. Repeated it again. Just felt it wasn't needed.

Probably to stress that he wasn't involved. Sort of like the Jill Meagher situation where the social media police decided the husband was involved.

Possibilityy with this they can trace her route back from work and if the woman has pulled out in front of someone (something that may have caused a road rage incident etc) maybe at a major intersection with cameras it may have been taped, or hopefully someone saw it and took notice etc.

Very sad. Hopefully get them soon and put them away for a long time.

Probably also to stress the fact that the daughter in law who was 'Bound and gagged' committed murder without her husband's knowledge or assistance. (Just my theory of course).

Looks like you had it pegged

Daughter in Law charged

A WOMAN has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Valley View grandmother as police dismissed claims she was killed in a home invasion.

Myrna Nilsson, 57, was killed in her Bunbury Tce home on September 30, 2016.

Neighbours found her daughter-in-law in the street, bound and gagged before she told police two men had forced their way into the house, killed the older woman, tied her up and burgled the property.

However, Major Crime Investigation Branch detectives will allege that the woman’s claims about two men in a white Holden tradesman’s ute following Ms Nilsson home from her Unley workplace were fabricated.

Took a lot longer than I thought but I believe they may have been waiting for some specialist analysis to be done.
That and hopefully she finally confessed to her husband and it was captured on a listening device!

Strange story. Is the daughter in law now living in mt gambier ? How can one bound and gag oneself? I think there is more than 1 person involved

I assume the 2 others were in cahoots but given there are now charges people should probably be careful with what they say.
No, there was never anyone else involved. It was always just the daughter in law and she completely fabricated the story about the 2 guys in the Ute. Yes, they have moved to Mt Gambier.
It’s not difficult to stick some duct tape over your mouth and wrap it around your wrists with a little practice.

The police said the daughter looked like she had been viciously assaulted.

Was it self inflicted? What kind of wounds did she have? Obviously the cops would have known this from the start.

No the report says that she was ‘viciously assaulted’ not that she looked like she had been. It’s a very non-specific term. Its possible to be assaulted ‘viciously’ without leaving visible injuries.

Don’t forget at the time they were running with the narrative as supplied by the daughter in law, no matter how implausible.

So the daughter said she was viciously assaulted? But there is no evidence of this?

Explain to me some circumstances where you can be viciously assaulted without leaving visible injuries.

Vicious to me is if someone copped a baseball bat to the head. You don’t just throw around that term.

When referring to an assault vicious, like brutal and savage are adjectives that can be used to describe a wide range of circumstances, including I would argue where only words are used.

In this particular instance I would think it not unreasonable for vicious to be used where a female is held by 2 males, her hands and feet bound and her mouth gagged.
