Roan managed to slice off half a finger while attempting to cut celery for a nice sofferrito. Luckily blood loss was minimised. We have sent Roan to the Masterchef studio to learn how to cut vegetables without performing accidental surgery. Return in 5 weeks.

Don’t know about a multi year deal but certainly needs to be signed for 2026. Needs to work on his defensive application, especially when the opposition is transitioning forward, but other than that he looks a really good prospect. Should improve even more with a full preseason.

It was a mistake to sign an extension for HDM imho. Ditto Ryan. Not sure that’s a justification that strengthens your case.

I get the Ryan extension (to a degree) - I think the club is optimistic (doesn't mean he will make it)
I don't get the HDM extension - surely 1 year was enough if we wanted to see if there was improvement - if so, then offer more years

Don't get me wrong, I agree (sadly). But I think that the club is happy to back in young talent* it sees promise in, and I would back Roan in.

He hit up targets on the forward line twice with perfect passes,which is probably more than any of his team mates.So yes,I’d say he’s a keeper.

Well Ryan gets 2026 and HDM till 2027, we’re locked into that unless someone lures them away. I’d imagine Steele gets an extension, time will tell if it’s 1 or 2 years. My preference is 1. I am more optimistic about him than either Ryan or HDM, but then I’d rather we could keep someone like a Markov (better defender than Ryan) or a Macrae (better midfielder than HDM) than them.
