We're potentially digressing, but how much are 2-3 years of development in the club's environment worth?

After 3 years in their respective club, how would a Collingwood early second-round pick compare to a first-round North pick?

My theory is that training under Fly and alongside Pendles/Howe/Moore in one's formative years would be a significant competitive advantage.

Related, Krueger was so grateful of playing with Checkers. He spoke of Checkers guiding and educating. As a mentor Checkers and Jamie have extra value. The ones you listed are priceless.

The only problem with this rationale is that virtually none of our young players have come on.

I'm a fan of this kid, a beautiful kick of the ball especially into the forward 50, low and direct. Looking forward to seeing what he can produce after a pre season. I'm hoping to see him regularly in the starting 23.

Agree with the general sentiment. Certainly looks like we found one in Steele. Should be played regularly in 2026. In fact, more of the kids should be played regularly in 2026 and beyond. Can’t get the next gen ready if we don’t blood them enough

Yep I'm not concerned. We won't be letting him go.

I would like to see both him and also Parker in the team next season, also hoping that HH is back next season this would help with our age profile also.I think these are realistic chances to be playing next season I also think West is big chance for consistent game time in the senior.
