Thanks Rhett look forward to hearing these interviews.

A someone who isn't from Melbourne (Scotland in UK actually) or grew on Richmond or VFL, these really
help me get much more a feel for the club and the players I've read and heard so much about.

All the best John
Well, I hope you find some interest insight into them. Keep me posted on what you think

Great to hear. I'm so happy that you are enjoying the series.

I wanted to bump this thread to recommend the Brian Taylor interview.

I can't listen to him calling a game. I just can't. He makes me break my TV and then I can't see the game.

BUT, in this interview, he is highly intelligent and more self-aware than I would have ever guessed. Fantastic insight into RFC in the early 80s.

Thanks RunningBounce.
I actually think he drops himself a bit on television to a lower level he doesn't need to. Cause as you said, in this he comes across very intelligent and introspective.

I've also just put up my Bill Barrot interview from 2007.

The Bill Barrot interview is a ripper. Love the story on how he was told to play half forward in a game and stay there and he did just that - didn't move.

Great work Rhett.

New podcast interviews added:
Tony Jewell
Ken Albiston
Rudi Webster
Ray 'Slug' Jordon
https://soundcloud.com/roarpodcast (and on iTunes)

Thanks Rhett. I really, really enjoyed Rudi.

For anyone reading this that hasn't listened, Rudi Webster was the sports psychologist recruited from Carlton, the 1979 premiers. Other notable jobs on Rudi's CV include the West Indies cricket team of that era. His a man who knows something about the psychology of winning.
