My other post said he never could imagine that was going to be the outcome. Reverse the situation and have one of our best players do an ACL because of an unnecessary action by a bomber. We'd be baying for their blood. Look at the angst we have had against Hawkin's small push onto Soldo. It's still being mentioned.
I stand by my comments. It was an unnecessary action that resulted in a terrible injury to a footy player. I wish Mansell showed as much aggression in getting the actual ball and he'd be a far better player. As it is, he has been pretty average for most games this year. How many possessions did he get on Saturday for instance?

The gameplan fixes seem pretty simple though. Multiple times each quarter the corridor was completely undefended. Forward having leading patterns isn't mega complicated.
Taking the first option before the opposition get back to defend isn't complicated.

Those 3 things would help us immensely.

All good in theory but vs Essendon they had a 4-2 outnumber behind the ball at virtually all times.

Leading patterns I agree with... that forward craft and symmetry will come.

Centre corridor rarely had our guys running through there when we were bringing the ball out and a couple of times we tried it, we didn't execute the kick. A bit gun-shy at the moment.
