Literally have more premierships than you, freo and saints combined. Plus we were never found guilty of drug use. You scraped a win against a full vfl side, with your best team, in what’s now considered one of the worst games ever played. I wouldn’t be too optimistic for your “future”.
Your right you were never found guilty of drug use , but 34 of your players are on the public record as been suspended by the world anti doping Organisation for doping with illegal performance enhancing drugs , I hope this clears it up for you .

Their names are listed on the WADA site along with other great athletes like Lance Armstrong , Ben Johnson etc etc etc

Run along you sad little man ..your teams crap ..you know it .. we know it..and Brad Scott knows it ..All your glory is long in the past..you haven't won it for 25 years and even then with the team you had it should have been a dynasty ..but you blew that too ..truth is the bombers are irrelevant this century and that looks like not changing anytime soon

Geez I have been falling out of love with footy for a while… that really helped😩.
Don’t think I’ve ever been to a game where every fan from both sides just sat taking the piss and just shaking heads.
Then you walk over the Maurice Rioli club for a last beer and they have a Rich v Ess game in from 1995 and it just absolutely drives home home just why i loved footy so much, and why I don’t now.
It was the general consensus in the room too.
The game is just so bad now and basically it’s had the shit coached out of it.

My eyes started bleeding watching that last night

yeah, terrible news for Nic.
we know what it feels like when those black injury clouds gather around your club.

Fox campaigning to get Mansell in front of the tribunal for the bump

I get what your saying, but it sounds like it takes only the most basic of strategic moves to complete destroy our gameplan. I get that might chance as the players get better, but for now its creating a horrendous style of play & I have to be honest that - as much as people might say "defense wins championships", i have always felt "strong offense makes champions" - meaning, more aggressive/attacking styles of play tends to develop young premium players, better, faster etc.

Yze has coached about 40 games by now & is yet to have the side hit 100 points. Infact, they have only cracked the 90's twice & both times we lost by about 5 goals and the oppo took their foot off the pedal in the last 15 that got us 3 goals late.

Its just not a sustainable reality to have your team not cracking 100pts over 2 seasons and having >10 games they are even scoring 80+. We drafted Lalor, Smillie, Hutto, Armstrong, Faull, Simms - all blokes who appear to rely on "attacking footy" to be their most damaging.
We have had 1 x off season with this playing group, they can only teach and try implement so much.

You can’t teach the entire game plan in 1 off season

Think of it as a tiered cake.

We are at the base level at the moment which yes, is easy to shut off and pick apart.

As the years go on layer 2, 3 and 4 will get added in the next 3-4 years.

We just need to chill and understand it’s a process that takes time.

If we are still playing like this with no other method or movements in 2 years then yep, massive red flags to be concerned with.

Cadman only 21 and kicking bags of 6 against the pussies though… gives a nice reality check about how far our emerging forwards are
Cadman 3 years and 3 seasons into his career. Our blokes one pre season and 10 games. Not sure they’re the same thing mate.

What is this take? Do you really just look at age and goals and not think of it any further?

He's in his 3rd season. In his first year he kicked 6.4 from 12 games. For comparison Faul has 6.14 from 13 games and Armstrong has 4.3 from his 4 games.

You also need the ball to come into your forward line to kick goals AND you need it coming in well. I think the quality and quantity of ball going into Giants forward line v Richmonds is a bit different.

And then of course who you're playing with in the forward line matter. If you've got guys like Hogan and Greene in there with you, then the opposition really can't focus too much on you. Compared to us who has 0 threatening forward line targets right now

Bro, you got done for a doping scandal club wide in the last 15 years. Both clubs have terrible injury lists. You haven’t won a final since 2004. We’re already past you AGAIN as a club. #fee#feelsgoodman

Yep. People blame the umps, CFL, etc., but it’s the coaches. Structure, particularly defensive structures, and process are strangling the game. Running lines up and down the ground all game rewards athletes, not footballers.

you haven't won a single final since the dark ages and are on the slide down yet again with no good players on the list. you're a bunch of hopeless losers. and still trying to dodge that you're drug cheats is an embarrassing way to go about it

Great to see Banks and Short in the same side and both able to perform. I was worried with Short coming back it might impact the role that Banks had been playing.

I don’t think it did, and they both had really good games.
And to boot, Brown was freed up and also had 23 possessions probably the most he’s had in a game - He’s usually between 10-15 which is nowhere near enough for someone of his skill. If those 3 can get that amount of ball consistently, we’ll be getting plenty of drive from HB

Stop focusing on game plan. Yze games tally does not matter. It's not like he's come in with a a team and tried to implement a game plan with them from day 1. Last year was a year to take stock in what we have and plan what we're going to do going forward.

How can we create a game plan if we don't know what players we have? Last year if we looked forward we would be looking at a completely different game plan than we would looking forward this year. For example we had no key forward talent, so our game plan would've had to account for that. But after the draft we now have plenty so that completely changes the entire team and how we can play.

We won 2 games last year and then lost 3 of our top 6 in our B&F, Graham, Dusty and Grimes + Balta has essentially been missing too. Then the massive draft haul we got of all those guys leaving has essentially barely played so we haven't even seen the benefit of that yet. We've just lost a chunk of our best players. And yet we've doubled our win tally from last year already, so improvement has come from within our existing list AND then we have a haul of top talent AND another couple top top picks coming this year.

Forget about last year. This is year 1. We are 17 games into a a rebuild starting from scratch. We are purely in player development phase. Focus on that instead of a game plan. Stop focusing on points scored.

Is this game really worth visiting our board and crashing out over? :tearsofjoy:

I have no idea what you’re talking about there except tigers are definitely no further away from success than the bombers.

I really like the way your team gave our triple premiership champ all the respect at the send off as he was chaired off . All class and credit to your club.

Woke up feeling pretty good. Been a fun season. Ugly and shithouse but I'm having fun. Kids look good, carlolton and druggos looking shit. Beat dimma. 4 more wins than most people thought we'd have (plus 2 games I'm counting as wins) We will continue to grow, learn and add to the squad. Going to be a good side.

If we beat the filth it'd be the best season ever.

So it was still obviously a hilariously poor decision but Simms has to cop some of the blame following that Kosi handball

If he’d just slammed it on his left immediately it would have been an easy goal
your correct...
They both can take a lesson from the incident.
