Especially coming from 5 goals down at 1/2 time too. Never forget those Matty Knights running bounce goals in the 2nd qtr that kept us in the game then after the break.....BANG šŸ˜
Knights was awesome. All 3 goals were rippers.

Our current CEO had an absolute 'mare as I recall.

David Grenvold. Laid a bump on Stewie Maxfield when the 2 sides drew earlier that season. Maxfield evened up in the final before Scott Turner finished him off.

Turner was a bit stiff with injury ending his career while he was at his peak. Missed a few good years.
Sounds like a fake name

Teague wouldn't know what a punch is
Longmire would just block the entire time and never attack
Scott would probs have a cry
Worsfold would probs go down after an ear flick
Clarko would be the one to get in a cheap jab
Dimma would make half the coaches forfeit just by death staring them
Stewy Dew and Bucks his only real competitors but Dimma comes out on top with his impeccable smugness.
Ken Hinkley has that silent psycho about him. The kick you in the shin, take a dump on your chest while stealing your wallet look. My vote for the coach royal rumble.

Itā€™s time for Norfies to rip out the game of their lives. Watch Ziebell risk getting suspended for the rest of the season just to take out one of our players. Northā€™s biggest fixture.

Anyone else reckon Dimma should figure out a better game plan instead of whinging about opposition tactics? The onus is on him to work out a solution. Complaining about it pretty much concedes youā€™ve got no idea how to beat it.
Our forwards coach needs a rocket, who is it BTW?

I figured out what to do. I seen the vision via the game replay

Houston we have a problem.

The solution is to follow the philosophy of Bruce Lee. We need to play without style. No style is the ultimate performance to counteract all opponents.

Soon all oppositions will be flooding the RFC forward line.

How to counteract this??

We play to our strengths. We let Balta be the plus one in the backline and let him roam up the ground bombing goals from beyond 50 metres. We let Short off the leash to who can also play forward.

We play Dusty at half forward. Harder to pigeon hole Dusty at half forward and he can use his lethal foot to kick goals beyond fifty or pin point a player, he can roam in the middle and forward but gravitate to half forward.

We bring in CCJ who also can give us another forward option when not in the ruck releasing Lynch to roam sometimes. We bring in RCD to give us added size, height and goal kicking power through the 50 meter line as well as backline support improving our team balance so teams will find it harder to use style by blocking our forward 50 to negate us. Bringing these players in and shifting them in different positions at times enhances the scope and options of the team and players in combination which makes it more difficult for opposition strategies to pigeon hole our team on the field and the way we can play.

We do not kick enough goals from beyond 50 or near 50. Teams are waking up. We need to improve this which indirectly helps us open our forward 50 by disrupting opposition defences. I think in the first quarter Dusty was running in on an angle and should have gone for goal but took a short option that did not work. We need to be more confident kicking for goal like Izak Rankine to put opposition defences on edge more

so your big brilliant plan is just to have big kicks... and get them to kick goals from outside 50... I wonder if the oppo will figure out the plan and just move their defence 10m further out? *sigh*

exactly which gives us room to target forwards in the forward 50 more via the extra 10m:thumbsu: Its called cause and effect;)

giving us a plus one in the midfield does not really help us unless with drag an opposition defender up because our midfield is not our strength. Opposition teams just stay back and hold a back 6 or 7 like Swans to thwart that.

Better to give a plus one to a player like Balta that has more scope due to longer kick, penetration, height and reach for attack and defence. People can talk about using hands to play the Richmond way or style but at the end of the day thegame is about kicking goals and stopping the opposition kicking a score.
Its not just that, apart from Dusty who can't do at all when we go forward we look for Lynch and JR all the time. We need other avenues to kick goals otherwise our strength becomes a weakness because we are too predicable

Take the 4 points and move on....

rioli...outski...passenger
Rioli needs to be sent packing. He's been woeful. Should not be selected for at least 2 or 3 weeks at a minimum. Time to let him know that his surname is not a free pass to a game. Earn your spot Daniel.

Interesting to watch the five highlights video.
The Sydney player doesn't even bother to tackle Marlion, just runs in parallel.
Poor attitude.
Something seriously wrong at Sydney.

Wouldn't be making too many radical strategic changes now, made several changes in the previous week.
Omit a defender if Astbury is ready, ie, Egg.
