Think we should give Alger a debut this week. Essendons talls aren't a huge worry, Zach Reid is in good form but he is still inexperienced and having Sims or Faull line up against him isn't a complete mis match. Mckay is average and pretty poor when the ball hits the deck and laverde is just a depth guy. Goldstein is 36 so don't think we'd need to double team either. 2 talls in Sims and Faull plus Nank as the ruck should be enough.

Debuting Alger could work if he’s tasked with a specific role, like locking down Reid or supporting Nankervis at ground level against Goldstein.

Anyone else feel like every time a team has a bad or unexpected loss they come up against us the following week.

Rigged comp.
It’s also rigged because we played port fremantle and kilda before they turned to dogshit

Larkey has been shite all year
Has still kicked 23 goals. But to criticise Miller's contribution when there is no basis other than a spoil that he didn't get a big enough fist on is pretty baseless.

And to counter balance, his kicking is a bonus. Rarely misses and his outlet passes can hit the target 50m+ away.

he just farks up so bad every now and again and looks so obvious .... but generally he doesn't do the worst job - can be a terrible kick though ....
He farks no more than any backman. All backs get outpointed now and again by good forwards, and he is no Dave Astbury for sure in that regard, but you can see his confidence growing every week. Had a poor game against Freo, but otherwise solid. And as far as kicking goes, I think the opposite,, great kick but every now and again he misses one, bit like Vlastuin.

Much as we wanted Darling to spud it up he was dangerous and good in their forward line and Daniel bloody good as their disributor running hard and good choices and disposal. Add in his kick ins after a point. Run like Gout for 30 metres then had the choie to avoid the pack. We amble 15 to the right then stop and either kick to the waiting pack or turn 90 degrees and pass and gsomeone else the chance to kick to the pack. Makes sence to get the ball further away from the goals or passed to someone who can bypass the waiting mob

Its the perfect opportunity to debut Alger this week, only worry is Yze's forgotten to even mention his name twice now when talking to the media about our drafted kids lol.

4 changes this week

Out: Balta, Lynch, Green & Smith
In: Blight, Gray, Alger/MRJ & Trezise

North just drew with the reigning premiers, yet we are their grand final 🤣🤣🤣

Pray tell, now we’re average, who’s our grand final??
Hopefully our grand final is just f**king up other peoples finals plans.

We generally leave our grand final to actual grand finals.

MRJ! You must have got some bad hooch. Why would you give that spud a game.

Completely disagree on his kicking. I'd rather him kick the ball than Short or Balta when he tries to pass.

I'm probably the biggest Shorty supporter on here but I agree. Liking what Banks is doing. Reckon he is getting close to Shortys best output faster than Shorty got to it. Not as good of a kick as Shorty when he's at his best, but he's not been at his best for a while.

Maybe give Shorty a run as sub. Played his best in shorter quarters, maybe a late game injection will see him become damaging again.
I actually rate Banks kicking higher than Short simply because he keeps the ball lower in flight. Less time for the defenders to intercept.

He's done some horriful short pass no pressure turnovers that i remember - but his longer kicking isn't that bad

Short - his best kicking days well beyond him agree, limited to for goals only

Balta should be banned from kicking anything under 50m at all times ever - his targets need to be the next zone

I'd take either of Vlas/Banks kicking out from FB - Broad as well as i know his short kicking will be good as he is risk averse in this area for mine ....

Bombers are heavy favourites to win on Saturday.
Why? Sure we’ve got a few outs, but I’m confident the boys can win this one.
Essendon are flaky and too reliant on Merret.
