Was great watching the kids put up a great effort for Kappa's 200th game
Missed some easy shots at goal that cost Richmond the game and some silly mistakes but over all its a great learning experience for the future and development of the kids.

Smith
Brown
Faull
Green
Sims
Trainor
Campbell
Lalor
McAuliffe
Banks

Half the team are kids and 30 or less games

McAuliffe , Lalor , Banks were all good and showing great signs of development
Trainor & Faull not so much this game but it happens and they will learn

our forward line needs a new line coach. theres nothing close to a gameplan or structure there. we have these combative tall forwards all going for the same mark and bringing it to ground where theres no small forwards within 20m. oppo clears the ball easily rinse repeat.
Midfield too. Been terrible at clearances for eons

Midfield fought valiantly - I liked McAuliffe's game and Dow had good moments. Taranto faded. The continual contested ball suited our plodding style with our slower midfield. Looks like an area of improvement including the tackling. Banks is settling into the post Rioli running half back. We are too tall up forward, and with Green and Mansell completely out of form, we need to fix this asap - Hopefully the VFL has some smalls putting their hand up

Nank was massive - broke even with Xerri.
What game were you watching?

Lost clearance by -21

14-4 out of the centre.

Let's put this game into perspective. A team in their 5th year of a rebuild just beat a team in their 1st year of a rebuild by 4 points. North should have smashed us with all their high draft picks. In the 5th year of our last rebuild under Dimma we were playing finals. There was a lot that we could improve on but that will come with time. Did Lynch play well today? No. It is what it is.

The senior guys may not have played all that well however they have been shouldering the burden on the field for the younger guys week in week out whilst protecting and showing them the way.

It will be an up and down year as next year will also likely be the same but our next premiership is closer than North's and a lot of other teams.

While it’s always disappointing to lose, especially the close ones, we probably stole the win last week so today is just another learning curve.
Don’t forget north have been in decent form.
Should have beaten Port in Adelaide, gave away a deficit against Essendon and should have ended up winning and took two points off the reigning premiership last week.
Our midfield needs drastic addressing in the draft. We have the worst midfield in the comp by a long way.

Our midfield is a real concern. We should have won that game yet I felt at every stoppage or centre clearance we would lose the contest. Frustrating to watch and must try and fix in the off season.
whos the midfield coach ? giusseppe mamone ?

Seth Campbell is amazing.
3.2 and could’ve had 4 if a bit more composed with 15d is the type of stats we’ve been crying for out of our smalls for a long time.

He’s linking up the ground is something that’s excelled so much in 25.

Lalor stands up in the big moments and chips in with a few goals and 16.
I’d say over the course of the year he’s doing better than I originally expected considering he’s soft tissue injuries pre draft and general conditioning.
