Im thinking Faull medial will be a 12 week injury which ends up early november return
Perfect timing to get back for pre season

Its all about 2026 now so just finish the year off by beating the NorF's boys and go on holidays

Out : Faull
In : Lynch

Fearing an ACL, luckily, by all reports, it is not too severe.
Minor MCL sprains (Grade 1) might take 1-3 weeks to recover.
Moderate sprains (Grade 2) could require 3-6 weeks.
More severe MCL tears (Grade 3) (non-surgical) can take 6 weeks or longer.

On what basis? McIntosh maybe retiring?
Due to the fact that all our players who've ever consistently performed well at a senior level barring maybe Campbell are past their peak. Or do you think Nank is still getting better?

Don’t get me wrong, I realise they are not all quality players, but when you have multiple layers of players out you start digging into the 30-35th best player on your list every week etc…

Most of the players you listed would be playing VFL if fit today. Having a dozen talls to choose from doesn't magically make your best talls (i.e. Miller and Nank) play any better.

Even the young players who might get a game if fit would, in the short-term, make us play even worse (e.g. replacing Prestia with Smillie will not pay off immediately).

To be honest I don't think we've played too many 'depth players' all year. You can argue Smith in for Short but Short's pretty bad nowadays. Green in for Clarke but Clarke's always injured. We had high hopes for Bauer. Probably the odd games to Kosi and Ryan were the only ones where they were clearly outside our best 22. We suck because there's no talent on our list except possibly some first year players who are too young to contribute much anyway, not injuries.

With the young list, there is going to be teething problems.
Games like today then games where we compete but we can't expect them to do this (compete) every single game.
The compete bit that is about effort I definitely expect each week. The skill level bit I understand can fluctuate with a young side. Missing so many straight forward shots on goal blows out the margin hugely. Convert 4 or 5 of those - which is a reasonable expectation - and it's a totally different result

What a bloody crap effort. May as well have stayed home and forfeited the match. Did the GC players have body odour or something? Never went near them. Just let them do whatever they liked. I can’t honestly remember us having such a low score in a game ever before while I’ve been watching. Abysmal.

And one for the umpires. How can a player be tackled 3 times, not dispose of the ball in any correct way, and not be pinged for holding the ball?
4 years ago (r15) we were horrible v Saints at the G. Wet night. Managed just 2.10.22 v their 9.8.62. And that was with a super experienced side

Think this is a foretaste of what's to come. we've been so dependent on having healthy veterans carry the side all year. Take TT, Broad and Lynch out and we immediately look worse than WC. hard to see how we're going to be competitive 2 years from now.
In 2 years time chances are at least a handful of last year's draft crop have hit 50 game mark and are emerging stars. The 2021 draft class will be at 100 games except for Clarke and Gibcus who we hope will be around 50 games. There will still be a few quality mature players like Taranto, Hopper, Miller, Ross, Balta etc.

As a comparison, in 2007 in just their 3rd year Roughead, Franklin and Lewis really began to emerge as superstars and frequently dominated their opposition. They joined forces with Hodge who was 3 years older and together they drove Hawks to Finals.

I'm a self confessed optimist. That kind of prospect us definitely there for us.

In Blair we trust 🙏

I'm just curious to know what Sonsie did bad? His efficiency seemed fine at 85%.
He's one of a few that hit a target last night. The only problem was he only touched it 13 times.

Wasn't our worst.

Ok that's fair but what did Sonsie do that's bad again? Or is more what he didn't do or didn't do enough?
Didn't do enough. When he got the ball he was fine. Unfortunately, he just didn't get his hands on it that much.

Also there is some players that really need to be shown the door Prestia ,kmac, short, and maybe trade balta
Short was back to his shirking, slipping over when the pressure is coming best (worst).

McIntosh was unfortunately subbed on about 3 and a half quarters too early.

Balta was a liability. Both the backline and forward line look better when he's not there. I would certainly entertain offers for him.

Seeing the football bounce off his chest from an uncontested mark is amazing.
Don't forget the footy bouncing off his bonce as well.

You can't teach those things.

There were times when Suns had loose players in the forward 50, and it wasn't particularly quick entry from turnovers. There looked plenty of time to pick up those players.
Balta in particular in the first quarter seemed content to allow his opponent plenty of space and only close once the ball was on its way to them.
But, plenty of us were expecting to get smashed by 100 points every second game this season. This game was close but still not there.
