Not really sure but it's obvious George will be in there so anything is possible. Think he was playing to get some match fitness in but on that showing they will be taking the Mikie out of us if he does. We do know from past experiences Dimma stick with his favs. I wonder if Rance was still playing if we would have had a look at Balta by now?

A bit more to it than the game slowing down although yes it did but I think Rioli's attitude was the difference mainly. He chased at every opportunity in that last quarter, he did not do that so much earlier. Ran around where the ball wasn't to quote Jack Dyer. But it seemed to click the longer the game went and that will transfer to his offensive side at some stage. Reckon the bar is set now, he has played about 4 games of VFL all up. Rare speed over a short distance.

Don't like seeing that Nankervis is still considered medium term, we need him back asap.

"Maining" Chol in the ruck for an extended period is not good for us, it's a big weakness against really good rucks, but the upside is we have a few potentially easier games in the next 2-3 weeks. Hopefully Nank is good for the Suns or the week after.

EDIT: Pretty sure Saints will regain Rowan Marshall this week. So that's Ryder and Marshall versus.... Chol... Anyone worry about that? Honestly not super confident the win is a sure thing here, Saints need to make a statement after some crap games and all this media attention, and two quality ruckmen versus a VFL player is not good for us.

If we are any chance of the flag it's time to start clicking into gear. No more sloppy performances and inconsistency or we can kiss any finals run goodbye. I don't care who we play in the ruck, if the 22 we put out there still containing a lot of gun footballers can't beat the Saints we have no business in 2021.

Don't think it's the ruck that's hurting us with Chol. It's his inability to cover our short defense with intercept marking like Nank does. If Astbury is fit, he could come in and play that role and give Chol a bit of a chop out in the ruck so we can leave CJ forward and push Chol forward more to make Ryder and Marshall accountable.
