Only a 3 point loss is much better than what I expected before the match. Blowing a 28 point lead is Carlton territory, we did the same against Gold Coast but hung on in that one. A blowout quarter in a Richmond game is going to be par for the course for some time, and fixing that will come with experience.

Lucky it was a low scoring game as you can’t expect 77 points to win you a game of afl football.

It’s hard to be disappointed with that. They’re a better side than us, and that will show when the season ends. My personal view just became too tired in the end. I was disappointed with the goal kicking, but that will improve. Shows they are playing for yze so hope the criticism stops.

some suggesting gray should be dropped because cadman kicked 2 goals when our midfield dropped all its pressure? hes under sized and on game 3 and mixing it with seasoned forwards.

Only watched some of the last quarter. Taranto getting held was one of the greatest non-frees I've ever witnessed. Simply amazing work by the umpire.

Can't blame the umps for this one. Sure the umps missed some frees, but we stopped backing ourselves when it was there to be won.

When Sonsie did that soccer kick it reminded me of when I did it playing RDFL twos. I remember thinking I wasn’t going to put my head over it and have it taken clean off. I was soft then and Sonsie was soft today.

This was a bit like the Gold Coast game except we missed our chances to build a big enough lead in the third quarter.

Sonsie was fine. Yeah the soccer kicks in the last were poor, but there were significant wasted opportunities and errors after quarter time from multiple players and that’s what cost us the game. I’d be directing criticism towards more senior yet frequently underperforming players like Ross and Mansell personally.
