Very disappointed by periods of non-effort. So many fumbles and going to ground. I feel like the midfield is not in sync, going for the same balls and crashing into each other.
Granted, the hawthorn midfield is well structured.

The performance wasn't as terrible as the scoreboard made out.
Our forward line is atrocious but we already know that. Hopefully in the second half of this year we'll have Clarke, Raso and Alger to choose from.
In the meantime, replace Faull with Gray/Blight (same thing I said last week). Drop one of our spud smalls, have TT rotate as a centre-forward and play McAuliffe in the centre.

Started getting ugly late - nice to get the last couple to bring the margin back slightly
If we were better on the set shots we could have been closer for longer - didn’t capitalise when our intercept game was up and running early and letting them kick those two before half time after getting on the board with a couple was disappointing

1.) Dow good again. Ross playing a similar game responsibility wise to Dow is struggling.

3.) Lynch looks like a man who feels he's done enough (polar opposite from the gold coast game though)
4.) Umps went in without lube. Hawks 2 or 3 notches above us but fair dinkum, we never stood a chance.

i was pointing out lalor's poor game in the match thread, much to the chagrin of many in there. he did however have a much better 4th quarter, although it was still only a 4 touch 4th quarter when the game was dead, but 2 of the touches were on the tit of lynch i50 which lynch ended up missing both unfortunately, and 1 touch was a set shot on goal he missed, can't remember the other
