Disappointing 2nd half after we'd played a reasonable 1st half for little reward. There were still some green shoots to take away from the game. Trainor continues to impress down back, Brown played a good first half before being shifted forward in the 2nd half, Banks and Ralphsmith had their moments, Lalor gave a few glimpses through the middle in the 2nd half with clean ball use.
Nankervis Hopper Taranto Broad & Vlastuin are standing up as leaders as they keep of fighting hard despite the scoreboard and while Lynch copped a bit of grief from supporters today his leadership inside the forward half where he is surrounded by a heap of young players still finding their way is immeasurable.
What was also disappointing is that after a long break where we got a chance to freshen up we ran out of puff in the 2nd half and allowed the Hawks to run us ragged as they continued to surge the ball forward and pile on the goals like a good side should in that situation.
As far as changes go, Maurice appears to have picked up an injury leading to him being subbed out, while Balta also hurt himself late, with what looked like a foot/ankle issue so they could be 2 forced changes, while the likes of Ross & Trezise could also find themselves in the mix for the VFL if we want to make some changes.

and doesn’t have an especially strong list and didn’t even play especially well today is probably a fair assessment of where we’re at. No doubt, people will run around defending Yze but, really and truly, it’s almost impossible to see any aspect of the game where what we’re doing is up to scratch.
