Oh how I've missed the days when a poor Richmond side would lose games that supporters expected them to win and then go about throwing the toys out of the cot as a result. This team fired it's last shots about a month ago when we won back to back games against Essendon and WCE. Since then our injury list has grown to 16 players which makes it almost impossible to do any real decent training due to the lack of numbers. Still we've improved on what we produced in 2024 and are well set up to continue the rebuild heading into the draft and then 2026 when we will see the side keep evolving. Not fussed with today in the slightest a win would have been great but a loss doesn't really hurt either.

Whole game turned on another easy miss from Lynch. Goes down the other end and the floodgates are opened. Don't think people realise how deflating it is when guys work hard to get it down there only for forwards to waste chances. Especially if the mob score straight away.

If he is going on next year, he needs to develop around the corner shots. He's had the yips for years now. His drop punts from 30 metres or less are useless. That ARC stitch up should never have happened; no it wasn't a drop punt, but his kicking for goal is poor.

Conceding 135 against North Melbourne is diabolical. Letting Sheezel collect 54 disposals is also diabolical. Our midfield got shown up in a very ugly way today, and they were largely responsible for what we conceded.

We need to think long and hard on what we want our midfield to look like next year, because a mix including Taranto, Hopper, Ross, McIntosh, Prestia, and Nankervis shouldn’t continue beyond this year. It’s awfully slow, and it no longer serves any purpose if it cannot even run with North Melbourne’s midfield.
