Did Fawcett get hurt in the VFL?Possible changes for this week.
McAulliffe in (an absolute must and a full game), maybe Gray and Alger to debut?
Love Armstrong but maybe he needs a rest back to vfl so Fawcett perhaps ?
Do Smillie and Faull need a vfl game before a call up ?
Agree with your changes !!!Would not mind Alger coming in. looked very productive in the VFL this week.
Harry Armstrong probably needs a spell, although I still would not mind him being persisted with.
Sims & Faull don't look ready to me.
I would give Campbell Gray a crack.
Needs to be some big changes after this week imo
I would bring in Alger, McAuliffe & Gray

Taranto ....65% forward 45% midfield ???With our young forwards and the large number of them, rotating them every 3 games can be done whilst healthy. So for mine I think the changes should be
Out: Smith, Bauer, Armstrong, Trez
In: McAuliffe, Faul, Simms, Banks
I want Sonsie and McAuliffe to get major Midfield minutes. Taranto is having a tough time shaking a tag so give him a game of 65% forward 45% midfield to get away from it. Hopper, Ross and McAuliffe are inside enough and Sonsie does deserve at least 1 ****ing game in the AFL out of the middle.
Its all about the winning mentality. Gotta listen to Goggins non stopTaranto ....65% forward 45% midfield ???
Hopefully we can get 110% out of everybody !!!!
ryan not up to it rather persevere with armstrongso we have a long way to go until our boys are able to play 4 quarters
Ryan for Armstrong
If fit it will be Rioli over Alger for Mansels spot. I watched Alger on the weekend and there’s a lot to like, but he consistently tries to do to much and gets caught. He needs a bit more time. I thought Rioli would have been better on Sinclair in the second half.
And Ross has been terrible for two weeks. So out for mcc2
Miller is playing some awful footy but Gray is a third tall defender atm able to get across and help out and throw a fist in. He's simply not big enough to be able to compete with the seasoned AFL level forwards. Even that abominable alien thing Hipwood would shove him around. He'd be a swap for Broad or Floss. For me it's:
Out: Armstrong, Miller, Mansell (susp)
In: McAuliffe, Gray, Rioli
Armstrong to play VFL to get some touch and hopefully kick a bag, will be good for him to win a few contests down there.
I know Miller out won't happen, but having watched the last two weeks of VFL, Campbell Gray is banging the door down and needs an opportunity. I don't want him to have to wait for an injury to get a spot.
Rioli comes in (albeit as sub) for Mansell, and McAuliffe gets rewarded for more or less being our best at VFL level in back to back weeks.
Would like to see Taranto play more half-forward (at times) to allow for McAuliffe and Sonsie to get some centre-bounce time.
Give Kaleb Smith a full game.
Line-up v Brisbane
B: Luke Trainor - Jacob Blight - Nick Vlastuin
HB: Tom Brown - Nathan Broad - Jayden Short
C: James Trezise - Tim Taranto - Kaleb Smith
HF: Seth Campbell - Jacob Bauer - Tyler Sonsie
F: Sam Lalor - Tom Lynch - Steely Green
R: Toby Nankervis - Jacob Hopper - Kamdyn McIntosh
Int: Thomson Dow - Jack Ross - Kane McAuliffe - Campbell Gray
Sub: Maurice Rioli Jnr
He only played a half. You would think if he needs to get fit they would have played him a full game.Faull may not be quite ready but he isn't far off, in for Armstrong or Bauer, the later the lucky. Faull is very athletic, great build for a running key forward, and great attitude.
McAuliffe has to come in. Last week was blowing hard at times, this week not so. Time to roll the dice with the young mids. McA and Lalor together will be a good combo down the track, both hard nuts with class.
Grey might be another who couid be good insurance and can play ether end. Could come in for Bauer.
Broke his nose and got concussion out of it.Did Fawcett get hurt in the VFL?
See I'd be quite happy to stick Gray on Logan Morris, Blight to Hipwood and go a little undersized (Broad?) on Day who I don't think has the capacity to tear games apart.Miller is playing some awful footy but Gray is a third tall defender atm able to get across and help out and throw a fist in. think your correct.Club will give Armstrong a rest for Ryan I reckon after hearing Yze mention his ruck stuff up.
Just hope McAuliffe gets a crack and wouldn't mind seeing Alger get a call up if Mansell's appeal fails.

He needs to dial back the crazy high leaps about 20% and instead focus on getting good purchase on the footy with his marking attempts, there's no need for him to take those crazy early leaps. He'll immediately become a better forward if he focuses his attention more on the ball than his leap.About Bauer
Seeing him live at the game he actually presents really well and gets to the right spots.
He just mistimed his jump for the ball nearly every time
Leaps too early
If he can get that right he will be a fine 3rd tall forward
think your correct.
unfortunately Ryan probably will come in to give Armstrong a spell.
Would like to send Bauer to the VFL, but not the week with Mansell out.
Play McAuliffe for christ sakes!!!
Agree, launches even when he doesnt have to which makes him easy to put off balance. He needs to dial back the crazy high leaps about 20% and instead focus on getting good purchase on the footy with his marking attempts, there's no need for him to take those crazy early leaps. Damn sounds familiar...I raised an eyebrow today when richo mentioned on AW that it’s tough for Kane McAuliffe to get a game due to Hopper and TT being inside mids there every week. Even he agreed tho it’s time for him to play. TT can rotate with Lalor and we add McAuliffe into mid rotations. Being a leftie is a point of difference too. Can’t have TT and Hopper stagnant a blokes career that’s dominating VFL, Pretty simple isn’t it!
Which has also generally meant that even if he does get hands to the ball, it's not being brought to ground in front of him, it's going over the backAgree, launches even when he doesnt have to which makes him easy to put off balance.
I know VFL is a completely different standard to AFL, but McAuliffe's strength has been on show in the first two VFL games and I don't think we currently have that at AFL level with our midfield mix.I raised an eyebrow today when richo mentioned on AW that it’s tough for Kane McAuliffe to get a game due to Hopper and TT being inside mids there every week.
