The Pies like to play Moore as the floating loose defender.
There was some good vision, I think by Rooey on 7, on how the opposition teams circumvent the Pies' midfield.
It started with Dima & the Suns holding them goalless till half-time.

Great to see Shorty rediscover form, kicking the long raking goals.
Also, Ross did a superb tagging job on Reid.
Good signs.

I think the best outcome we had after the game was the coaching and yes we played the bottom side that was kept in it by one player in the midfield amassing 20 possessions in a half, which Ross did a magnificent job nullifying the influence and hence snuffing out the Westcokers hope, but it was the post match that was revealing.

We had heard Yze talk about up-skilling the assistant coaches to make sure they had everything at their disposal to operate in the top tier and all other facets of the football department. But, it was what Yze said and a moment of honest self reflection that was the most insightful and disarmingly his best coaching move of the last year and a half.

Yze in his post game presser stated that the experience players instructing the new recruits is exactly what he as a young coach needs.
