And here i thought it was carltoon who stuffed up.Druggos had a Patrick Voss on their list…delisted him, Freo took him…he slotted 6 goals today
Poor bummers not
Lynch in he gets #1 Def.is lynch being out currently a good thing? it might be forcing us to actually find targets and the forwards to present more.
based on last night game, that was obviously the best our forward half has functioned with bloody kosi as a centre piece as no one was bombing it to him expecting a miracle pack mark.
Yes agree. You can’t have that money top 10 picks and not become competitive. It’s whether you only get to Carlton level and never contend or to Melbourne level. Both those teams were terrible and people questioned if they would even play finals and then it turned.Feel free to bookmark but their strategy will still pay off in the next few years. To busy trying to steal all our reserves playersDidn’t even play a game lol. Nice one Essendon.
Im not only talking about the weekend, he seems to be playing a bit different in recent times even in our losses. obviously don't notice as much when we get pumped but is using the handball in the midfield better then going forward a bit more because for some reason he's a good kick on goal and a decent mark
It's also not just coasting. You simply can't play at your best if you don't have the players around you. How can you run and break lines if there's no one to give it off to? How can you break out of the midfield to stream forward if all you see is defenders waiting to intercept you? With our senior boys I think they run around at 80-90% effort. They know we suck, so human nature is the coast.
Compare most of Vlas/hopper/prestia/tt/broad games this year to the games against gws (vs old club) and gc (vs dimma) where they all found another level of performance because it meant something.
They are on a road to nowhere. Adelaide drafted a lot of good talls who took longer to come on, but they’ve flown past. North have drafted midfielders and still have some huge list holes.Feel free to bookmark but their strategy will still pay off in the next few years. Looking at the 2022 draft that Taranto trade definitely doesn't look to be hindering our rebuild, only player that stood out to me was Josh Weddle and it's not like we're struggling for 3rd talls/half back flankers. Giants used one of those picks in the JHF trade and got Aaron Cadman out of it which we couldn't have done anyway.Taranto now into the top 20 for coaches votes
10 Tim Taranto RICH
8 Jacob Hopper RICH
5 Nick Vlastuin RICH
3 Harley Reid WCE
2 Jack Ross RICH
1 Toby Nankervis RICH
1 Rhyan Mansell RICH
Both coaches agreed on the top 2. Assume Mini gave Harley 3 (Yze 0), and Yze gave Ross 2 (Reid 0).
Imagine just how bad we'd be without Taranto and Hopper. Yes things havent gone to plan since we recruited them but I sure am glad we have them now.
North have built their list around midfielders rather than balance. North need another KPF. If they find a good one in the draft, he will take three years to develop. They only picked up Sharmon last year. They also need a KPD. They could trade for a KPD but North is not a destination club so they will probably have to go to the draft. Again, it's probably three years of development. So, for the next few years North will not have a list that is capable of a sustained move up the ladder IMO.Feel free to bookmark but their strategy will still pay off in the next few years. Imagine how bad we would have gone without Lynch? Oh, that's right he didn't play and Faul stepped up. What would have happened if we didn't have Prestia in the midfield to curb the influence of Harley Reid? Oh, that's right we did have Prestia in there and Reid was beating Taranto, Hopper and Prestia, it was Ross that reduced Ried's influence. In reality. we are in development phase and last weekend showed that the more we expose the kids the faster they develop. Its good to have the top three players on that list but I would prefer that the kids were showing their development by getting the votes. Also, I actually though Nank was beaten on the day. He also spent a fair amount of time off the ground, I was wondering if he is carrying an injury.Taranto now into the top 20 for coaches votes

Balta to def go forward, not sure we need kozi too , he didn’t do muchThe Pies have Moore, Maynard and Howe as their key defenders. We’ll need Balta to take Moore, Kozzie to take one of the others. Pies defence is big and strong. They’ll monster the kids.
If we can keep it to under 50 points i’ll think we have done well.
