That footy innovation has got geelol to where they are now...same old same old geelol imo...
Ok. I didn’t say they innovated, that’s why I was confused.
I think as someone else said, it isn’t always about innovation though. It can be a whole mix of changing personnel, tweaking game plans or copying a trend, throw in some luck with injuries ect.
You need a lot to go right at the right time. So far that’s happening with Geelong, it might last the year or they may not be the top team come the end of the year.
Nothing has gone right for us this year so far and it’s getting to the point where we are coming from a long way back to have a chance, but we can still live in hope for a few weeks yet.

How appropriate that they would target Richmond supporters, we get the rough end of the stick constantly so it makes sense to target a supporter base that is already pissed off with the AFL. The whole thing is so predictable.

THE AFL HAS LOST THE PLOT AND THE SOONER BENNY GET'S IN TO REPLACE THAT MORON GIL THE BETTER.
We had vlad the corrupt rule with a iron fist dictator
Now we have this potatoe gil that lets others dictate how the afl should be run go and put your head back in the sand ffs.

Hard to not agree. From the AFL website.

1. Richmond won't win the flag
Consider these results: a 44-point loss to Collingwood in round two, a 49-point defeat at the hands of Greater Western Sydney the following week and a 67-point thumping by Geelong last Friday night. Those three teams are considered the main premiership threats, along with West Coast, which the Tigers haven't faced yet. Consider this as well: there were 10 teams with a percentage in the triple digits after Friday night. Richmond wasn't one of those, having sunk to a miserable 94.5 after the Cats clash. This Tigers side has turned it on in stages, but ultimately, looks a cut below the competition's elite. - Dinny Navaratnam

I posted this on another thread with a comment that he's stating the stark raving obvious.

The counter is, of course, that "this Tigers side" isn't our best side.

We were very much playing without much mojo in the first few rounds, and enough said about our outs against Geelong.

My expectation is that in a month or so, certainly come finals time, "this Tigers side" will be a quite different beast and that the Cololololingwobbles, Ghastly Whatzit Something, and Geelol games might not be so relevant.

So, yeah, "this Tigers side" is a cut below the competition's elite -- you don't have to be a genius to work that much out -- but if we make finals "this Tigers side" isn't the side that we'll have on the park

I rarely take much notice of what Malthouse says but a piece in th HS cane across my desk re Tom lynch and Martin in forward line , in essence that we don’t work hard enough to clear space for them both to lead into rather we drop it on their heads playing into hands of marauding defenders , absolutely bang on . Leppa , get on it

Don’t you dare add any common sense to the argument , of course our replacements should be at the level of 3 x Coleman jack and 5 x AA rance and our premiership ruckman . In a very even season there’s plenty to be played out yet

Leppa does the backline now. The little man does fwd line now.

They should get two home finals this year .
It's looking like only two vic sides will play finals this year .So no reason the AFL shouldn't give them a home game against a interstate team .
It's going to be a very quiet finals series at the G this year .

On SM-A520F using BigFooty.com mobile app
Imagine geelong and collingwood playing in the qualifying final - geelong gain home ground for being higher on the ladder but the afl schdule it at the G.
The pussy meltdown and sook will be unbearable for all football supporters.

You’re taking the piss.
It’s footy you can’t avoid the injuries these blokes have had
We drew the short straw with the injury footy gods.
Cant believe we struggle to keep anybody of credit fit.
Bright side is kids are getting exposure but without the core groups of seniors to shoulder the load its a baptism of fire.
Still proud of what the club and players have achieved under the circumstances.

Is there a site where I can find the average age of our team on the weekend given we had 6 players with 11 games or less

I was crying at this, legitimately crying. I haven't felt like this since 2016. Honestly look at what this club does to me, they tease me in 17 and 18 but 19 it all comes crashing down. I dont know whylat we have done to deserve this.

Dude it’s one year.

Every team has a bad year.

Trust me Geelong, Collingwood and other teams aren’t going to be on top forever.

We’ll bounce back. Whether the second half of this year or next year, we will bounce back.

We’re not run by a pack of morons anymore.

I don’t think it’s that bad.

We were never going to be a dynasty, most premiership teams don’t end up dynasty’s. We still are a good team, just had a bit of poor luck this season.

Never mind the fact that we’ve been a decent team for half a decade now.

We were also coming from a long ways back pre-2013-2018.
