Pretty shit game, lucky Melbourne are bloody awful. Need to fix up our forward line because it is not working. On paper looks dynamite but it’s a dogs breakfast at the moment.

Loved our tackling tonight, managed to stick them and make them effective, rather than allowing the ball to come out to another player at the last second
Whoever is our fwd line coach. He should be sacked.

Was at the game tonight. As crap as Melbourne's forwards were , my god they were made to look worse by Vlastuin and Grimes. The latter especially has the most unglamorous job in footy but pretty much every week, doing the equivalent of keeping the dunny clean at the swank Richmond Hilton.

I have always thought that there has long been a tradition of Tiger favourites that, years from now you'd always buy a beer for due to their unheralded work ethic. Dylan sits comfortably on that list.

Man it’s really hard not to get excited about Stack. That bump was magnificent of course but he has just looked so composed and so tough at it. You’d think he’d played 100 games, just belongs there. I was sitting in the lower tier directly in front of the hit on Viney, def in the top 5 best things I’ve witnessed at the footy!
Can anybody actually shed some light on the supposed “off field issues” he had to overlook getting drafted? I’ve seen it said multiple times but no info on what the actual issues are.
Hats off to Brando I’ve been bagging him this season but he was excellent tonight. Grimes is a warrior, Bachar underrated, Dees are shit. Go Tiges

Nothing about partying, drinking/drugs etc - Sumich said Good kid, listens, trains hard, it was simply a case of him needing to become more professional, said he was always late for training in preseason, said he lived 3 hours away but sat him down and said in a professional environment thats no excuse, do something about it, and he did. He said that was the extent of it and couldnt understand why he was overlooked.

We showed signs our ball movement is improving. We were quite daring through the corridor and took a lot of risky kicks and handballs in traffic which we stuffed up a lot but on several occasions it was pure football. Shows confidence is growing and we are starting to work on expanding a few things.

Also liked how we closed up the short options, Melbourne got away with some easy disposal in the first 1.5 qtrs, but we then turned the screws and suffocated them, defensive structures looked solid af and dees didnt know wtf to do

Wouldn't want to be the Casey Demons, lots of guys going to be wanting to put their names up for selection. Bolton, Weller, Townsend and Graham to come into the team that beat Port fairly comfortably.

Shit performance but will take the win . FMD forward line is a complete shambles

This.

The last qtr made the margin look good, but really, a very poor Demons outfit stayed with us for most of the first 3. We really need to do better.

Real Madrid ⛪👑🏆
We are in the box seat.
Ellis and Web-Kam prove they are required players.
Still keep thinking of Kam's snap goal versus PA.
I like T-Lynch's demeanour.
He does not stage for frees and this could come in handy come finals time.
See the infusion of new talent.
Baker, Bolton, Ross, Stack augurs well for the future and is a credit to our development staff.
We are in the best form since the glory years of 73-74.

He's not a Ruckman though. Never will be.
Don't agree that he never will be - don't foget he's only 19. He'll never be a good tap ruckmen due to his size, but his ceiling for follow up work imo is pretty high due to his athleticism and is already showing signs of it.

Pretty ordinary game, the boys need to lower there eye's a bit. Cant continue to bomb it away all the time, otherwise the better teams won't let us off that easy.
Great games from Vlaustin, Bachar & Grimesy down back. Love the way Ross, Stack & Baker are going about there footy for such inexperienced players. Thought Ellis, Castagna & Lambert had good games. Kmac, Prestia & Sheds butchered the ball a fair bit & would love for Balta to show more composure & not charge like a bull at a gate all the time & give away silly free kicks. Also the amount of times we had loose players on the wing tonight, yet we proceeded to kick to a contest. Hopefully JR, Astbury & Prestia are okay. Overall happy that we finished with a good last quarter & came away with the win.
