Dimma suggesting Dave might miss too so I'd bring Bolton back in and Garth. The chaotic way we move the ball up the ground is great. Lynch is still doing his job standing in a pack, bringing the ball to ground.
Astbury too? We’ve been like a revolving door in terms of injuries.

Yeah those would be the changes as well for me

Was at the game tonight. As crap as Melbourne's forwards were , my god they were made to look worse by Vlastuin and Grimes. The latter especially has the most unglamorous job in footy but pretty much every week, doing the equivalent of keeping the dunny clean at the swank Richmond Hilton.

I have always thought that there has long been a tradition of Tiger favourites that, years from now you'd always buy a beer for due to their unheralded work ethic. Dylan sits comfortably on that list.
Gave you a like for the dunny analogy 👍

Can't take a trick with injuries this season but in comparison to a few years back it's now seen as an opportunity to get some youngsters into the side who we as supporters are excited to see.

Our structure is built on individual roles and you have to give credit to the football department for the way they have built this team. A few years ago an injury to any of the big 4 would have meant end of season, now they are replaced and the machine rolls on, great signs for the future.

We have our game style back. Melbourne are so flakey, fragile and yet arrogant. It is a unique and deluded combination. I will say right now that Melbourne will never win a flag in my lifetime.

Our mission is to figure out how to beat Collingwood and west coast with the kick mark game. That is what the dimma should be doing over his break.

You will probably have to make it a Shiraz for Dylan.

Astbury will be a big loss structurally we’ll need to bring in either Garthwaite or play Balta back and bring in CJ/Chol/Moore.

Obviously hurts to be missing Cotch and Riewoldt but on the positive side they’ll both be coming back fresh perhaps after our bye (Cotch a bit earlier perhaps). Can’t write of Trossman either. That’d be a great scenario going into September with those fresh legs and different to last year where we were struggling (albeit winning)

I was a huge critic of Blair Hartley in recent years but this guy keeps producing little gems. Ross, Stack and Balta have been great additions to an already strong list. Great job Blair.
Our recruiting man - Mathew Clarke has made some great selections since taking over the top job as well

Oooh I am serious. KMac is a workhorse but for the most part he is like my grand dad - a bumbling, . fumbling hard working honest person.
No seriously, at the moment KMac is playing good hard as nails physical footy, and runs all match, takes a few grabs and kicking under pressure improved...
Don't knock your old grand dad cos at Kmac's age he would have done some pretty amazing things...like for like please...:thumbsu:

Let's see how your boy leads the pack. As I said I look forward to it in the count. You're a dedicated fanboy. That's fine. I see a lot more wrong with him then you do. A damn lot more wrong with him.
It’s funny Tforce, if i was to put all your posts in this thread into one quote, i wonder how they would read.
And accusing RD of being a fan boy? Interesting indeed.....

Probably for the first time all season we were able to string pieces of play together where we ran the ball at top speed by hand and not fumble or miss a simple handball for a good deal of the match. That has been missing all year on any consistent basis. Much of this comes from how collected under pressure our backline is. Even Broad who can be a bit of a headless chook played with more poise. Love Stack's handball over the top to Grimes, just released the pressure even when under pressure. Having said that the last half the Dees were cooked at we ran amok, but they ran us into a more form that has been building the last few weeks.
