Not sure how we ended up with the game and who deserves the credit but this Anzac Eve fixture is awesome.

As amazing as the Anzac Day game has been, is and will likely be forever, the timing of the Anzac eve game, the lead into the Anzac day holiday, at night which allows for the ceremony, with the stadium lights out to be so much more impactful, is bloody fantastic.

AFL would be loving it and I imagine the pies and bombers would be the opposite which is ok as well!

SEN were banging on about Stacky this morning ...They said

- Stacky grabbed the opportunity to train with us with both hands
- as we all know, said he was embarrassed not have been drafted
- physically made himself sick ( pushing himself to the limit and beyond) on several occasions to prove he was serious
- did not shirk the physical contest with teammates
- put several players on their arses
- put Dusty on his arse

Make no mistake, Stacky may come across as a cool dude...but he has worked bloody hard to get the opportunity

Credit to him as a solid 19yr old

Rioli has turned into a figjam since moving in with fev and mia cock smack check sides and taking the piss being a hog
He was playing with a massive corky in the top of his quad. His last 3 games before that were fine.

I saw someone put on Twitter that all Richmond fans should be embarrassed that we missed the first 10 years of Jack Ross’s career.
He is very composed, clean and smart
Didn’t even make the Vic under 18 side ! Now the kid is starring at the top level not even 12 months on

Why wouldn’t Brayshaw be playing in the midfield instead of a wing?
And play Hunt off the HBF where he looked like a star a couple of years ago.
Partracca is a midfielder as well. If his tank isn’t good yet they should sack their fitness staff.
Goodwin is listening to Troy Chaplin too much I think

Okay, where to start. First off, what we saw was 2 teams sore from backing up after 3 days, it was always gonna come down to mental toughness and fitness.
The umpiring - seriously, everyone around me was confused. In the end, we were all laughing at the absurdity of it.
To the Shemon fans around me, the old couple who left 10 minutes into the 2nd, I hope you made sweet love back at the motel, to the tense dude in front of me hitting the chair and crying in anguish at every skill error, i hope you don’t have pets, to the shrieking Shemon bitch behind me, yes, we are allowed to make contact with your players, and every time it happens, it isn’t a free kick. To the shemon bloke behind me, you were a good knacker who nearly made it to the end.
I really just wanted the win and get to the break. We have turned the season around. Keep playing the kids. Balta included. Stoked for Ellis. Pretia and Lambert led the way again.
Pissed about Jack, hope it’s not serious.

Solid win. Not one for the fans. But both teams came in off a 4 day break and it showed.

Toast: Pretty much everything I want to say has already been said, but the only thing I will repeat is S T A C K I S E N O R M O U S. Needed a breathless cigarette in bed after seeing that hit. Couldn't have happened to a better bloke in Viney either. Get that up you, you grammar school flog. I want to see him do that to Treloar or Pendlebury next time we play the cretins. Sexy.

Roast: Umpiring. The over adjudication of the game is a mess. There's been an abundance of soft contact frees for all comers this season. But if you're going to pay them, then you need to pay marks when someone marks it and gets the ball knocked out of their hands after dragging it down. Lynch was robbed a couple times late in the game.

Also, over handballing. Shedda handballing to Lambert who was off to the races with his back to him. Lol. Come on mate.

Frustrating game to watch, but good to end Melbourne's season.

Edit: roast: pretty average by me digging the boots in as he's an easy target, but Jayden Hunt is rubbish. 7 Carlton Draughts last night playing on the flank. Your headband is not a personality trait mate. If I was a dees supporter, I'd be pissed that he gets a game.

Should’ve been 10 goals+

Feeling sad bout that scoreline

Just remembered we got Sydney stax
near impossible to score heavily when the ******* oppos have 4 extra in defence all night using weak tactics. we did alright considering, and the umps don't know what a mark is which would've given us an extra goal or two

Wouldn't want to be the Casey Demons, lots of guys going to be wanting to put their names up for selection. Bolton, Weller, Townsend and Graham to come into the team that beat Port fairly comfortably.
Another reason I wouldn't want to be the Casey Demons is that a few of the Melbourne Demons will be lining up with them in the near future.

Gotta be kidding me, Jack hurt again.

Lucky we have Lynch. We found our mojo again. How Lambert doesn’t have more votes is astounding. He was fantastic tonight
Only so many votes to go around. I always do votes before looking at who has been voted for as well as the stats sheet so I'm not swayed by others opinions. After I voted I went and looked and was amazed by Lamberts numbers for the game.

Good game. Well in control from the 2nd quarter onwards. Never felt like we would lose. Wish we could put our general play dominance onto the score board. Good solid richmond win.

Very even performance. Vlas grimes houli Ellis prestia Lambert standouts.

Jacks injury sours the win. Such a smart player. When will we see our 1st choice forward line click...

Umpires need to learn what a mark is.

Look forward to the doggies challenge. We usually struggle with them. So would like to see a solid controlling game where we put them to the sword for once.

Ross is perfect for Cotch/Duz and co. In and under gets it done minimal fuss.. our midfield will be ridiculous once at full strength. He’s the missing link. You play him last season instead of a Conca or other outside/flanker type and we just about go undefeated and win th flag.

Really !!
Now they’ve got SOS 😂
Not really their recruiters fault as his hands are tied behind his back with SoS's GWS obsession and his latest brainwave giving up a top 3 pick this year.Clarke certainly dodged a bullet otherwise his reputation would be in tatters if he stayed.
