Without reading any previous comments I think broady needs some recognition. Just does his job 80-90% of the time, has probably had 3-4 absolute mares in his career which some fans never forget but in a money ball scenario he is as underrated as they come. Solid as a rock again today but every week people want him dropped.

I was one of his critics on here, but he’s been really solid against GWS and Port Adelaide.

Our backline is finally starting to get the synergy we need without Rance. Yes, it took a bit of time because Rance is such a big out, but Grimes, Astbury and Broad now know their roles and know how to play them well.

As a side note, I am very pleased with Richmond’s adaptation to injuries this year. 12 months ago we probably thought that missing Rance, Riewoldt and Nankervis for big chunks of the season was the end. Well, at least I did. But here we are in a battle for the top 4 next week in Round 19. We are tracking very well

Yeah true , it’s a risk though I rekon as Chol playing pretty good imo , only just lacking a little bit of grunt on a few occasions . I think Nank is ok around the ground but not a great tap ruckman at all

Yeah and that’s why they’ll likely go with Soldo and Chol will make way unless they can find a role for him.

If you had said pre-game that both Grays and Westhoff wouldn't have a goal between them, we'd all take that. We nullified their contested ball/clearance work (they're #1 in the comp) and did our bit on the outside and on turnovers. Grimes again carved up whichever Gray went to him and Astbury was rock-solid. Watching the first qtr of the GWS Collingscum game, it was clear that 2 ruckman vs Grundy is essential, because Collingwoods backline isnt that tall. GWS continually pumped it in to Cameron, Finlayson, Himmelberg, with one of them always having a mismatch. Next week we have to do the same with Jack, Lunch, and our resting ruckman/Caddy. Gonna be huge

we are using a lot of rotations at the moment. jack, tom, dusty and Sydney out of the square. George was forward, wing and in the backline at times. same with Edwards. the back 6-7 pretty much hold there positions but the rest are all over the place. it must be very difficult for oppositions to know who to man up on and is one of the reasons we are looking better the last couple of weeks.

We are literally playing absolute chaos footy. Would be horrendous to try match up against. And then amongst all the chaos, at one centre bounce we end up with Cotch, Prestia, Edwards in the middle, and Dusty, Jack and Lynch up forward.

Sometimes it just makes sense when a player has momentum and runs inside 50 to just have a shot. Surely the coaches allow players this freedom. Sometimes it looks like we are playing a training game where you have to find a teammate inside 50 and are not allowed to score yourself.

Dusty can be penetrating with his passes inside 50 but more often than not he turns it over when we all know he is capable of kicking well over 50 metres and is completely in the clear.

On occasions players just need to take responsibility and kick the goals that are on offer rather than trying to be too cute by over possessing inside 50.

Great contested/overhead grab and competitive with a bit of campaigner about him. Could he play an intercepting antagonist-Sicily-like role and occasionally swing forward?

Was sitting there in level 4 right behind Stack when he took that shot and missed when he could have centered it. Was gonna be an absolutely difficult kick. Would have had to kick it across his body. If he undercooked or overcooked the kick, it would have been a direct turnover and Port had numbers out the back.

I reckon him taking a ping was the smarter option, looking from that vantage point.
