IN - Prestia, FIIK ..............................
can we LTI Lefau (worst comes to worst) and bring in that blonde Med student in the VFL squad that everyone wanted?heck we should have taken 3 picks in the mid season draft. May would be handy right now.

Ahhh, Bolton might be worth playing?
Why? Just rest him. Not going to win even if he plays. Make sure he’s right for after the bye
good tussle with atkins early, (perfect match up for 2 scrubbers) then atkins stepped up, and jack started coughing it up and atkins becams a vital contributor.....need four quarters from him. jack can't crash and bang anymore and was exposed, sonzie was soft in the clinches tooDid Graham get injured in the 2nd quarter? Cause he didn’t ****ing show up in the second half
Smith should get a full AFL game as well. What’s match committee going to do Thursday when they can’t start both Blight & Gray as starting sub?
Both look guaranteed to play

People have been saying this about them for years, but they don’t go down.I think we'd go ok if we added in Bolton, Prestia, Tarranto, Hopper, Lynch, Gibcus, & Ross
Dad's Army aren't winning anything with their list. Years of pain coming for the pussies.
will be a better player than ttBecause he’s shite
very nice post. agree100%Left Geelong tonight far from disappointed. We played some very good footy in the first half and just failed to make the most of our chances that probably would have put Geelong away. A lot more to like about us moving forward than Dads Army down the highway. Yze has a lot of players to work with moving forward and you can see the belief and understanding of what he is trying to implement becoming more clearer.
We'll get a couple of experienced players back in the next few weeks which will help us turn those almost moments into converted chances and with WCE sitting 2 games and % ahead of us on the ladder we can still win a couple of games in the second half of the season and not hurt our draft position that much.
I see the criticism of Dow, but I thought he played well, he may have only had 15 disposals, but 8 of those were clearances to go with 10 contested possessions and 5 tackles plus 20 pressure acts. He is playing as a main midfielder with support from the likes of Baker Graham & McAuliffe in the middle who aren't our front line midfielders. I've said it before and I'll say it again, put Dow in a midfield where he has bigger bodies like Taranto & Hopper around him and a stronger McAuliffe in a year or so and he'll have a role to play as his work in close both by hand and movement through traffic is quite good. It can't be easy being asked to carry a midfield when you're still trying to genuinely establish yourself in the line up as well. These games are going to be invaluable to him come 2026.
As many others have said Hugo has been a revelation this year on the wing, his ability to cover ground is impressive, but what is even more impressive is the improvement in the contested side of his game and I don't mean winning contested footy, but his willingness to get into the hole inside D50 and either take intercept marks or to spoil have really stood out when compared to previous years. The wing role is his moving forward as far as I'm concerned.
Felt for Noah Cumberland today, copped Ridley last week and was asked to play a role on Stewart tonight and it's not the ideal role for him to play, but to his credit he stuck to the task as best he could and a couple of the intercepts that Stewart got weren't Noahs fault either as teammates up the ground let him down with poor disposal. Happy for Noah to play the next couple of games, hopefully with a bit more attacking freedom.
Was pleased to see Samson clunk a few tonight after a rough game last week with his marking, hopefully he can build on that moving forward, because there is something to work with albeit he can be frustrating to watch at the moment.

Surely now the talks of we don’t have a game plan, or our kids not good enough can end. We played wellJust read it appears Lefau has done his knee. Seriously, GF 2024. a rare shining light this season and this happens.
Kids were brave.
Ins: Bolton, Taranto, Prestia, and dunno who else to play key forward and help score.
Outs: Pickett, Lefau, ?
Probably because the oppo do nice kicks to the forward that he knows where they're going and our players kick floaters and helicopters 10m over blokes heads.does anyone know why Balta takes marks like nothing down back
but then when goes forward just spuds it up
That's just the Maori toughness in him. ACL back in a month.reckon its not acl

+ add in Ross and Judson and we knock them off.we have got to realise how old Champs are slowing down a whisker and it showed in the second half and it also showed, our cubs were flying early and we looked good, but 4 years of xtra preseasons the pacy/fit cats ramped it up in the 3rd, but with the umps giving the cats an armchair ride home it was inevitable .....we needed some herculian efforts, cats edge in composure and knowlegde of thre ground got em home in the end. lynch, taranto, bolton, hopper and junior would have been handy.
how much we win by if scats had Richmond like injuries and we had hardly any?I’m sorry but I just can’t see it with this group. I don’t see the skill or intelligence or work-rate. Time and again, we leave Geelong forwards standing around on their own to take uncontested marks. Meanwhile, in the last quarter, we kicked it to Geelong outnumbers over and over. Just lazy and dumb.
Never really rated him other than ability to kick goals from 50m. Not a key attribute of a defender. Not a midfielder. Baffled how he won a B&F in a premiership year.Jayden short with ball in hand
