Re: Go f&%k yourself Telstra!

mistakes are obviously going to happen, how were you 'robbed' by telstra? they charged you incorrectly and then corrected it hardly worth changing providers over.

That isn't my title. When I created the thread I simply told them to go f themselves, a mod changed it.

I just moved home and wanted to get Naked DSL there.

As I am in a group of townhouses the ISP said that they need an active line to convert.

No worries, I organise for Telstra to activate the existing phone line there and when it's up and running I put through the request to convert the line to Naked.

All goes through, working fine...Telstra bill shows up with a $299 ****ing charge on there (although it doesn't say what for). That is not including the 30 days line rental I paid.

On top of that they have line rental for my OLD PLACE for 23 Jan - 22 feb when I asked for that line to be disconnected on Jan 15!

I am so glad that this is my last Telstra Bill ever. They can go get ****ed as far as I'm concerned.

Where is a gun when you need it,lol. They rang me the other day i told them to get ****ed basically when they wanted me to go back to them. The lady got annoyed I'm trying to saving you money when i didn't want to listen about it. It annoys me when these guys ring up i rather stick with what i have then listen to shit and go through the changes and hidden costs like you had.

It's pretty sad that this gets you so upset. Say "I'm not interested, thanks" then hang up. Then go onto the do not call register.

Hidden costs? No such thing. There is such a thing as ignorance however. If you want a service, read the T&C's or ask for them to be read, so you know exactly what you're getting. It's not rocket science.

Well they've struck again,

I received a bill today, first thing that's wrong is they've billed me for the phone service, there is no phone service as it has been converted to a naked DSL line.

They have got one part right in that it includes the credit for their connection fee error.

BUT

Then they are trying to slug me $15 for an overdue payment fee!

I have NEVER had an overdue payment. The last problem I paid the $81 they told me to and when I specifically asked about the rest they told me that they would flag the dispute which would let them know that the remainder was under dispute and they wouldn't process it as unpaid.

My god Telstra you morons are freaking incompetent.

I got Telstra wireless wi-fi today to replace the ADSL, it took a while and many calls and many different departments but eventually got it working..... $49 a month with a discount on the home phone. But talking to Telstra for over 1 hour hurts my head.....

We've been having semi problems with them as well, fathers phone has been Telstra and recently they've decided to slug him costs $35 per month for internet on the phone, which of course he doesn't use and immediately rang up to cancel when he renewed his contracts. 3-4 bills have come with the same fee on them, 3-4 times he's rang them up to get rid of it and Telstra said they would, waved the fees and it's happened again the next bill. You just have to laugh sometimes and wonder how long either of them keep upthe merry go round before something gives and he calls the ombudsman on them again.

Agreed. They are crooks. But I have gotten huge savings out of them!

Well another 38 minutes on the phone to get this one sorted out.

A correction though - the phone line they were charging me for wasn't the one that was converted to Naked DSL, it was the one for my old place which was supposed to have been dusconnected in January and then confirmed that in February when I last had to question the bill. Hopefully it is now truly dead.

One trick I found when dealing with them was pressing the account button and then the "thinking about cancelling your account" button..... ya got a real PERSON straight away and their job is to keep your business.

Same thing with foxtel, get put through to disconnections.

They'll clear it right up.

Only trouble is, I am already disconnected. I haven't had a telstra service for the last month.

Ask to speak with a supervisor and tell them you will go the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsmen (TIO) and they will do something quick smart.

Level 1 complaint with TIO costs every telco a couple of hundred bucks, so they don't want that to happen....

My 2c worth (I work for Optus)
