That's such terrible news.

I hope they've caught it early enough that he makes a full recovery and is able to get on with what he does best.
I'll just cut and paste what I wrote on our board.

"He's getting a short course of chemo too - that could well be career ending. I had a short course of chemo early last year and there is a side affect for a a good percentage of people. It stuffed the nerves in my hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy). It improved 50% after a year, but I can't really run anymore. Otherwise the reason I got it is gone, so that's good

The first dose is the worst. After that it was ok, but it's different for everyone, and there are different drugs.
Wish him all the best."

Doctors didn't tell me about that possible side effect - or it was on a long list on a form they get you to sign. I only found out about it when after a few months my feet and hands started to go numb.
Hopefully Robbie has a good look at the stats on that particular one as it would be the end of his footballing. Though if he really needs it, that is small bananas.

Anyway just thought I'd add this in to you guys in case someone knows him and can make sure he is aware.

Hope everything is looking good for you.

A basketball player in the NBA player named Nene caught testicular cancer through over 1/3rd of the NBA season and missed the entire season to recover from it. He played every game the season after though (and many more seasons after that).

What's for certain though is that everyone's body responds differently.

With Gray I do expect there will be moments next season where he will not look right.

Yes this 'short course of chemo' could still be very taxing on him physically and emotionally :( All the best to you Robbie.
