A lot.
Rochester, MN is the most famous and the first. Rochester's a town of 100,000 and half work at Mayo. Over 200 Cardiologists in the department.
Then there's Jacksonville, Fl and Scottsdale, Arizona. Lots of satellite centres also.

Better stop there before derailing Robbie's thread. ;)

We keep these bloody come from behind and just win or just lose results and Robbie keeps on missing, your professional skills might be required by the faithful.

If that's how you feel about Gray, then you must ****ing DESPISE Lindsay Thomas.

Surely he means disgraceful as in it wasn't up to the standard of what North supporters see every week. Towards the end of the game one of them threw the head back expecting a tackle that didn't eventuate (it may have been Adams).

Wow some of you are harsh! First full game after a recon. He'll be one of your mist important players by year end. He's like a new recruit that's going to improve 10 times faster than a 1st year player. Has so much class and he'll show it. I know today was tough but he is one positive. At the start of the year this game would have been penciled in as a 50 50 at best. Take Gray's next step as a positive. Otherwise I'd be happy to swap him for Thomas!

Exactly! I thought he looked dangerous every time he was near the ball.

To think what he is going to be like once he get another 5-6 games in him and gets near full game fitness.

He has had such an unlucky run you really feel for the guy and hope that its all smooth sailing from here *fingers crossed*

Has magnets on his hand, so silky when he picks up the ball from the turf. Had an ordinary game today which is more reflective of my expectation of his ability than anything else. Good to have him back.

if he kicked the goals he should doubt there would be any negativity

he was good enough for me at this stage of his recovery

Perhaps we should rush Butcher back in for this reason?
Saw Robbie play a bit early in the season in the SANFL and he showed more than Butch has so far even though he was coming off a TKR. Not many argued when he was brought back and people with more footy nous than you and me made that decision. Butch just hasn't shown enough.

Thought I would put this in his draft thread given its info about how we drafted him. No #55 and Robert not Robbie, no wonder it took me so long to find. Knew about the 5am meat packing starts to his mornings, but this is the first time I have read about his own draft testing as he missed the combine.

ROBBIE GRAY (Port Adelaide)
Drafted: Pick 55, 2006 national draft

Current CV: 254 games, 353 goals, three-time best and fairest, four-time All-Australian, two-time Port Adelaide leading goalkicker

List manager Mick Moylan tells foxfooty.com.au
:

“He had a good season, but he didn’t have a great finals series but when you actually spoke to him it was quite obvious why. He carried a calf injury late in season and also he was working on a factory floor from 5AM in the morning packing meat. When you look at those factors you can understand (why he didn’t perform as well as he could).

“The other interesting thing was that because of the injury he actually missed the testing combine. It was actually organised for Robbie to do a solo beep test.

“Just a handful of us came along to watch and David Mackay turned up and ran with Robbie as a partner.

“Robbie ran quite an incredible beep test, it was in the 13’s or something, which made you go wow, this guy is more than you may’ve thought from first memory.

“Blair Hartley was working as a forward scout and he was very keen on Robbie. He would’ve been a fair bit higher in our list and draft order but that’s just how things pan out on the day.

“When you’re making judgments on people at 18 years of age, you see it as a real bonus if they play 100 AFL games, it’s an amazing achievement.

“The fact he and Travis Boak are still going is a testament to both guys. It says more about them than it does us picking them.”
