While i disagree that there is anywhere near 200 ruckmen who could go close to Warnock's output, i do believe that trading for a ruckman is something that we could explore. Warnock is not a ruckman to just go and delist though as previously suggested.

Do you actually think we can win a premiership with him as our No.1 ruckman though ??

If the answer is 'no', then he has to go, it's as simple as that.

He is getting paid way over the odds to such an extent that you could afford two other project rucks for the same money.

No i don't think we can, hence the notion of exploring the trades. He will have currency for someone for sure. I do think we have been negligent for not having a project ruck stowed away somewhere already though. Who was our last ruck selection in any draft? Jacobs? Kruz? I really don't know.

Kreuzer was our last 'real' draftee ruckman, many of the others were rookies or trades etc.

It's a shame about Warnock but I think we were all blinded by where he had come from, playing second fiddle to Sandilands and we expected him to end up the same as him.

Warnock has had some great games for us, he's just starting to get found out for his weaknesses as the game progresses. These days ruckmen just need more strings to their bow unfortunately.

If I recall correctly he was coveted by other teams as well as a towering beanpole with hand eye co ordination and the prospect of putting a dozen or so kilos of muscle. We landed him and things have not really worked out as hoped. I think he has had a crack this year but as you say his weaknesses are glaringly obvious and can be exploited to such an extent that his strengths are outweighed. Sunday night showed that.

Not sure we could get much for him on the trade table but will be surprised if he is still with us in 2015.

Currency was high 2 trade periods ago when we had all 2 rucks and gws were desperate for a ready made one

We wouldn't be having this conversation if our players had got off their high horses on Sunday night...What more can a ruckman do when the princesses surrounding him wanted to sip on Martini's all night?

Other than rucking, he showed nothing. I would like to see him show pressure, run and most of all stay on his god damn opponent. I don't think I've ever seen him sprint in an AFL game. He should know that with Kruezer out he has big shoes to fill and should at least try. It was like he was invisible aside from the rucking contest.

Aint gonna happen. He is what he is. I was berated last year's trade period for suggesting he should have been offloaded instead of Hampson. He's one dimensional and we play with 17 once the ruck contest is complete. Heck, he can't even flippin' stand there and take a mark!

Sorry, but I thank the football gods every day that Hampson isn't at our club anymore.

Comparing him to Kruz is a tough ask...he's not Kruz and never will be lets be absolutely clear on that. Pressure? I saw the bloke get on his knees and rove then extracted the ball on a few occasion. He practically did the job for our mids and you want him to apply more pressure? His 206 cms and practically a human giraffe, how much more 1% would you like him achieve?

Going beyond more than a jog would be nice.. I've never seen him take a big stride to run, only little half effort steps..

Even sandilands has shown desire and willingness to chase and apply pressure - eg he chased and corralled simmo from wing to the 50

No what hurts most when watching a game, is when an opposition ruckman runs forward to say 30-40m out directly in front and takes a mark with Simmo's nose in his arm pit trying to spoil, then he goes back and slots it. Yes I saw him on his hands and knees and he even applies the odd smother or tackle but seriously at 206cms your strength should be taking a mark anywhere on the ground, I'd even settle for a chest mark.
He has to make the opposition worry about him and where he is at all times, at the moment they show him no respect

The sort of defensive pressure the entire team needs to fix? not just one person. Simo? He was out marked all night. And looking the other way while Jamo got smashed is a shit kind of character. I could name 19 other blokes that strolled on the night.

Unfortunately atm that goes for pretty much the whole damn side.

What is this bloke's contract status ??

Trade or delist at the end of the year, I don't care which, just want to see the back of him for good.

contracted until end of 2015.

we might have to pay someone to take him off our hands.

May be a blessing in disguise if he was to get suspended this week.
